I think you just knocked him out with that reply. Well done!
Broner didn’t lose until he went to 147. He didn’t lose because he sucks, he lost because he gained too much weight in between fights and didn’t bring his power up with him.
Its fine if you hate Floyd and the guys at PBC. At least be honest about why they lost.
If Tank was promoted and managed by other people you’d be fine with his resume.Comment

Other than sniper (his only legit title) and bantamweight Leo, who are you talking about? I want to like the kid. But hes no longer a prospect but keeps acting like one by not fighting anyone worth while.Comment

lol at my other post. All those dudes are solid pros.
Im not suggesting they are ATGs or HOFers.Comment

Barrios was a decent win but after beating him the yell was 140lb champ which is bs. Leos best days were at 122 and '26. Pedraza was a legit win and his only real belt. Cuellar and fonseca arent world beaters nor are they great fighters and Cruz aint it either chief!
Ok that is you. It clearly isn’t everyone.
I agree with you about fighting the best. My issue is this seems to only apply to certain guys. Other guys can come from some 3rd world crap hole and as long as they get ko wins that is acceptable.
Tank, imo, is judged by who he works for and not who he’s fighting. The guys he’s fighting are solid, they just weren’t good enough to beat him.
And let’s be honest- as long as Tank wins people will poke holes in the loser rather than give him credit. This is done for only certain boxers. Canelo is now being subjected to this.
Some posters just want these guys to lose and will disparage everyone they fight until the loss comes- then they will lose the loss to say Tank sucks or Canelo only fought easy guys.
Dude that last sentence is utterly ridiculous. Barrios, Leo, Pedraza, cuellar, fonseco, up next Cruz are solid pros that challenged for titles. They just aren’t as good as Tank.
To label them as “peewee” is completely unfair and biased.Comment

Barrios, cuellar, fonseca, Walsh and Cruz are all solid pros. They are being disparaged solely because Tank beat them.
I just don’t get that.

Well yeah, Gervonta has legitimate welterweight power. He probably wouldn't knock out the elites of the division (Spence, Porter etc.) but certainly he'd spark out the lesser if they thought they'll go blow for blow with him. No surprise to me if say, Mikey Garcia thought he'd go toe to toe with Gervonta and got put on the canvas for it.
Gervonta is definitely the goods.
But he really has to get more efficient. He looks for the perfect punch a little too much. Leaving himself to take some unnecessary damage or leave some questionable rounds on the cards.
A better opponent with a better jab probably hurts Gervonta once or twice where Barrios got hesitant. From there, who's to say Gervonta wouldn't lose if he gets rocked a few times?
A truly fantastic boxer though. Through and through.Comment

They hate Floyd, so they hate anyone associated with Floyd or reminds them of Floyd even if they aren't associated with him.
Tbh, I wasn't impressed with Gervonta until he sparked Cruz all the way the f– out.
After that, Gervonta really changed my mind about him. I could see he wasn't just another typical black boxer who is athletic and relies way too much on their power. (race is irrelevant in the big picture but a typical black boxer does box a certain way. typically very athletic with power. Judah, Gary Rus Jr. Charlo bros. etc. So don't get me wrong when I mention that. I mean it like how we say "mexican" boxers. Gritty, come forward, kinda plodding, high durability etc.)
The man has a very high ring IQ and boxes with his brain first. Its just complimented by an extreme amount of power.

It’s a different era in boxing. We didn’t have the civil war between promotional companies and there wasn’t all these exclusive network deals to get in the way.Comment
