No way, Tank is far better than Broner in every category.

Its fine if you hate Floyd and the guys at PBC. At least be honest about why they lost.

If Tank was promoted and managed by other people you’d be fine with his resume.
Fcuk no I wouldnt be. His resume is trash for being a multi weight fighter who claims hes a champ at 35 and 40.

I could care less how well a fighter does financially. Thats not why im a boxing fan. I want fighters to prove theyre the best by fighting his peers in the ring, not lesser foes, not interim belt holders, not no-names who got the fight by talking sh.it. davis has immense talent, but hes not proving what hes made of vs the guys hes fighting. Highlight reels are fun and all but when its not vs the upper echelon of the divisions hes fighting in, its like a varsity team vs a peewee league team.

Tank , Kenny porter already came out saying that you didn’t want anybody recording or to talk about the sparring session. That says alot .

I've talked about this a LOT here. In today's boxing, that's just how it is. It's not just Tank. It's EVERYONE. And if people wanna give me some examples I'll listen. But any fighter in today's game other than like Pacquiao and Canelo (over the course of his career. Not so much recently), has 2 big names on their resume, tops. The 147s ain't fighting each other. The heavyweights are "kinda" fighting each other. The lightweights aren't fighting each other. The elite Jr middleweights are doing about the best job of actually competing against the best that the division has to offer.

fighters now says start to do this on the back side of their career. Not in the middle. If Teofimo Lopez goes on to fight big names and stays successful, he'll get credit in this department. Because he took on Loma while young.

(Disclaimer..... don't name an example, and start reading off mediocre fighters and count them as being elite. I'm talking about Spence hasn't fought Crawford/Manny/Boots/Ortiz. Situations like this. And for the record, I like Spence. He was just an example that came to mind)

I wholeheartedly agree with your post. Its not just Davis or Spence, etc....
Teo is a perfect example, although I do give him a lil more leeway since hes a unified champ (some say undisputed cause he beat them man) and has to go through with mandatories). If boxing was done right, thered be ORDERED tournaments in each division but due to politics and some promoters not wanting to work with eachother we get fodder...

Had he been devoted to his craft his career may have been different.
Floyd cleared out the lower weight classes. Waiting for Tank to do the same. And still waiting. No way would Floyd have been satisfied with a bunch of "regular" world titles.

And didn't have the discipline or dedication to lose the weight and compete in a division where he could be competitive.

Ok that is you. It clearly isn’t everyone.

I agree with you about fighting the best. My issue is this seems to only apply to certain guys. Other guys can come from some 3rd world crap hole and as long as they get ko wins that is acceptable.

Tank, imo, is judged by who he works for and not who he’s fighting. The guys he’s fighting are solid, they just weren’t good enough to beat him.

And let’s be honest- as long as Tank wins people will poke holes in the loser rather than give him credit. This is done for only certain boxers. Canelo is now being subjected to this.

Some posters just want these guys to lose and will disparage everyone they fight until the loss comes- then they will lose the loss to say Tank sucks or Canelo only fought easy guys.

Dude that last sentence is utterly ridiculous. Barrios, Leo, Pedraza, cuellar, fonseco, up next Cruz are solid pros that challenged for titles. They just aren’t as good as Tank.

To label them as “peewee” is completely unfair and biased.
