Its not too late. Get your soggy ass up, push the plate of ****ers and haggis to the side, go for a long run while you plan your return. Your name will be Comeback Carl. U can hire Mc Crack Vial again. Look at the great job he's doing with Joshua, made him nice and timid. He can do the same for you. Go out there and style on Canelo. Take on GGG as a nice tune up.

I agree.
The Middle Weight to Super Middle Weight divisions these days, are below par. Carl Froch for me has greater durability, stamina and punching power compared to Canelo Alvarez.
Alvarez is not beating these guys with skill alone, his big advantage seems to be his physical strength. How on earth can a former 147-154 fighter, who was beaten 12-0 to 12-1 by Floyd Mayweather Junior suddenly move up in weight, and start beating guys in better fashion than he did at the lower weight classes?
This is a clear indication that, the fighters Alvarez has been facing in the middle-weight to light heavyweight divisions are not better fighters than all the guys he fought at 147-154 pounds etc I honestly don't think Alvarez has evolved into a fighter who he miles better than the fighter who fought Floyd Mayweather, he is just facing bigger fighters who are not as good.
This era of Middle-Weight fighters seem to lack what Carl Froch had, what Joe Calzaghe Had, what Chris Eubank Senior had, what Nigel Benn had 'They all seem to lack that domineering physical presence' that you would expect from a all-time great Middle-weight fighter.
Canelo Alvarez is physically stronger than Caleb Plant, and he was also physical stronger than Callum Smith. But that should not be the case with a fighter, moving up and facing bigger fighters 'I won't use the word poor, but these Middle-Weight to Light Heavyweight fighters are below par'.
And Canelo Alvarez is exposing them all, Alvarez is exposing this era of below par Middle-Weights to Light Heavyweights.
If this was the 90's or early 2000's Canelo Alvarez would of most likely stayed in the 154 division or gone up to 160 pounds at the most 'Because if he would of stayed in the super middle Weight to Light Heavyweight divisions for to long? He would of been sparked out in my opinion.

You're delusional.
Froch's best win was against a guy who got beat by a 46-yr old pensioner. The super middle weight in Froch's era was just as weak, if not weaker.Comment

I love Froch to bits, he's the fighter that turned me into a rabid boxing fan. That being said, I've always written that he wouldn't have beaten BHop with three arms and a Kalashnikov, and although Canelo fights differently, I think Canelo belongs in that category now. Really bad matchup for Froch; Canelo's hurt or stopped literally everyone who's come forwards against him since he moved up to 160, and IMO Froch would have an even chance to lose by UD or be stopped late.Comment

I love Froch but he went life and death twice against Kessler and once against Johnson. Against Canelo he would not be able to hit him and he would slow down his offense substantially. Regardless if that fight would had a chance to happen in the past I would had watched, it would had been an exciting match up.Comment

The main thing in Froch vs. Canelo, u have two good offensive fighters, but the difference would be Canelo's ability to avoid Froch's punches, while being able to pentrate Froch's defense, which wasn't the best. So Froch would get hit more cleanly and more often. Like many others, he'd be surprised at how hard it is to hit Canelo flush. Also, Canelo is a much better counterpuncher than Froch. McCrack Vial didn't teach Froch any defense, just like he ain't teaching AJ nothing, either!Comment
