My fantasy fight would be Canelo vs hagler at middleweight and Hearns vs mayweather at welterweight. I would pick hagler because of his higher work rate amd Hearns over Floyd because with Hearns height , speed and reach I didn’t think would be able to do enough to earn a decision.

That fact that Kovalev was out boxing Canelo tells me Froch is right

I just don’t see a way with which he could have beat Canelo.

If Froch was really that keen you think he'd call him out like he does Calzaghe. The interesting one in recent times would have been Andre Ward v Canelo , As we all know how easy Ward beat Froch.

They forgot to include the loss against Andre Ward.

Time in boxing is context. But just carry on making an ass of yourself by ignoring that.

Next you'll be saying that Ali is a bum because he was beaten by Holmes who was beaten by Tyson who was beaten by Douglas who was beaten by Lou Savarese.

In Froch's mind he'd beat Ali, GGG, Canelo and Fury on the same night. In other words - everyone except for Ward. But on a serious note - no, I don't see him winning against Canelo. He might not be knocked out, but he definitely won't outpoint Canelo.

Well, you're right about the results but not what goes down in the ring. Hagler absolutely destroys Canelo. If a post prime Hagler can take everything Mugabi threw at him then Canelo's best punches are bouncing off that bald dome plus Canelo is not avoiding Hagler either.
Mayweather is getting Ko'd first half of the fight if not first four rounds.

I'll readily admit I know little about boxers pre-seventies but being 60 yrs old now I can easily compare 80s legends to modern day fighters.

In the same vein, those who say that Fury is an ATG or can become one are dreaming - Lennox Lewis would have destroyed him in 6 rounds.
