Froch stopped Groves, twice, on the back end of his career.

That's kind of a triangle theory too which I don't believe in. Styles make fights.

The guys Froch was competing with were tougher than most of the current crop of 168lbers in my opinion.

I'm not saying Canelo couldn't have competed then, far from it, I think he would've beaten everyone excluding Ward probably but I think he'd have found it less easy

I just think Froch's style would have made a fight with Canelo a lot of fun and I believe he would've been more competitive than either Smith or BJS

    We'll never know for sure

Smith KO’ing Groves is more impressive imo

Callum Smith retired a prime 30yr old George Groves fresh off a win over Eubank Jr. and made him want to not box again.

Carl Froch beat a raw just entering his prime 26 yr old George Groves.

Froch was good, big puncher and could take a punch. Canelo is slicker and probably would have figured him out.

She was that, right? Unfortunately her voice. Good lord, the voice on that lady, and imagine just how often we'd hear it with Canelo whomping Carl through the whole fight. I could probably learn to love it though, lol
As for a fight between Froch and Alvarez, Canelo wins and, to me, the only mystery is whether Canelo can actually stop Carl. I think that is a fight that is crazy entertaining from the first bell to whenever the last bell rings as Carl could take a punch, his most effective defense in a Canelo fight would be his offense and, like a lot of good/great fighters, Carl never looked like a fighter who would accept "moral victories", ya know, the moral victory" of seeing the finish of the 12th rd etc. He would likely be trying to win the fight up until he was either on his face or the last bell rang.

Froch is too big and strong for Canelo to handle.

How do I know? Froch told me in the pub last week.

How can you be mad hearing this Carl Froch is funny as hell. I remember when he approached Mayweather for an interview just after the weigh in during May VS Pac and he started blushing because Mayweather recognised him and called him champ. I thought that would be the end of it but then Carl switched the script and started telling Mayweather about his fight with George groves in Wembley stadium.
I thought CARL was a basic fighter but with great heart and a world class chin

Yes, the older he gets the better he was.
