The point is they didn't wave it, because they wanted him to fight. He could have. He chose not to.

Brook was eating hellacious shots in that final round against Golovkin and he didn't quit - it took the corner throwing a towel. So why does Joshua get a pass?

The first shot was a good temple shot. The rest was a result of him being unable to recover from a good shot for multiple rounds.

Either way, he spat out his gum shield and checked out.

He lacks chin. He's got plenty of heart and a brain big enough to understand that all the heart and desire in the world wasn't going to help him in a firefight with Andy. if Joshua and Andy stand and trade, Andy is the guy left standing.

He has heart. He has toughness.

That isn't LIKE anything, that just IS. Late in the first fight Joshua didn't have the legs to run and didn't have the weaponry or chin to not run.

Ruiz walked right through Joshua's best right hands and countered with shots Joshua could not walk through.

Same was nearly true in the second fight but in the second fight, Joshua did have the legs. He used his big brain and prepared himself to win the kind of fight he could win.

And he didn't engage with Ruiz again in the 2nd fight.

Not being able to go toe to toe with Andy Ruiz is not a flex.

He ruled a pretty ****ty division lost to the first two fighters he couldn't weight bully. Yeah Joshua could have done the same in a division made up of guys like Parker, Chisora and Whyte...but in one with guys like Fury, Wilder and Joyce? Nah.

Wow even Joyce now .lol Joyce is an even stiffer robot than AJ .Although Joyce has a World class chin but he needs it because he has the slowest hands and feet in the business

He won with the only game plan that would work against RUIZ. You had someone nearly 300lbs with quicker hands and lightening combinations. However, did not have the feet to set those combinations if you were constantly on your bike. having being knocked out 6 months prior it was a great game plan. Now what's worrying is that its seems from that fight he seems tentative to engage.

In the Ruiz rematch if he fought any other way than he did he would have lost. As we saw in the Usyk fight a good game plan should never be underestimated.
