Nowadays, no. BITD, why not? More rds, more fights, less titles, less weight classes.

Now no, back in the day when they fought hundreds of fights in their career then yes.

Sugar Ray Robinson was something like 103-1 (or was it 130-1) before he retired and came back after a long lay off and started losing more regularly.

You think Floyd or anyone else can amass a record of such prestige?

Depends on the rest of the resume...Robinson has 19 losses

Damn, I meant to post a poll with this.

How about a guy with 47 losses and quite a few of those came while he WAS in his prime?

Exactly!! I don't know why Im still trying to hammer this point home, but its been irking the hit out of me. Ezzard Charles had 25 losses and is one of the 15 best fighters ever in my opinion. Sam Langford had 47 losses and is almost always ranked among the top ten or fifteen fighters ever.

                  Yes

                  Example:

a fighter had a streak of 100 wins without losses winning multiple championships in multiple weight division.

and then on his 101st fight at age 40 he was beaten by an undefeated Challenger with a record of 30-0. He then continue to fight for 49 more fights winning 25 of them.

Depends on the circumstances. Who they lost to, when in their careers, how, was it their best weight.....
