I agree Plant takes him to decision, but I doubt its 50/50. Canelo is a better fighter, and a HUGE A-side in this matchup; he gets the benefit of the judges already (in addition to being a stud in the ring).

I imagine Canelo builds and early lead and coasts to a comfortable decision (116-112) type.

I'm rooting for Plant and honestly believe if he has the fight of his life he can win. Your post puts it in a perspective that most aren't capable of and honestly it's a breath of fresh air. You dont have to knock one fighter down to build the other up. Just give each respective fighter their due credit and speak honestly on the topic. Plant’s a step below BJS but unfortunately for him he’s going to see the best version of Canelo.
He wants that undisputed status bad. He wanted it at 160 but boxing politics and his promoter working against him got in the way.
Plant’s not a great fighter but it’s a legacy fight for him to be considered one of it not the best Mexican fighters ever.

Would not surprise me if it did, but I believe this fight is going 12, for the simple fact that I believe Plant is going to take Lara's playbook and try to run a marathon in there, jab a few times, survive, and then claim that he was robbed. I think Plant has some skills, might win a round or two, but if Plant wants to really win, he's going to have to go after Canelo and prove he's better, but I don't think he has that mindset, I think he will be content saying Canelo didn't knock him out.

Lara pot shots straight punches and at 154 that speed is different. That’s not even Plant’s style. Plant fires wide. I agree with everything u said, but most of us feel Canelo stops him. I think Canelo stops him in 2 rounds. It just takes one good counter if waging on Plant.

Doubt it. Joe smith has good shot at KOing him at 175 also there’s a reason he fought a shot Kovalev in a 3 week turnaround
