So if Plant gives Canelo a competitive fight, can we all then acknowledge that Canelo is overrated and not as good as he and you all would like to believe? Because there should be no reason why someone that they believe is an easy out, should even be competitive with the so called p4p king , correct?
Canelo is a P4P attraction and certainly a the top 5 P4P but his fights and his division jumping are without question by design.

More to your point, Plant is very good and fatally flawed. He doesn't take a punch but more importantly he doesn't deliver one either. If plant can survive 12 rounds he's better than I thought and Canelo is about where he belongs. Canelo is a super talent that looks immortal against less than the best opposition and guys on the down side.

So Canelo only fights guys he can beat? Oh snap, he lost twice to nd old Golovkin. Why not fight someone who can give him another fight then?

Wow all the racist haters here. "Canelo wouldn't gave knocked out Saunders if he hadn't broken his face.". Seriously? That's like saying "he wouldn't have gotten the KO if he hadn't knocked the guy out." Do people even read what they're writing? There's never anything new to the Canelo haters either. They're like "he hasn't fought anybody," never mind that he has fought and beaten more
champions than most of the other active fighters. When you add on top 10 fighters, his resume is even better.

"He won't fight Beterbiev or Bivol" except that he was looking to fight Bivol when the fight with Plant fell through the first time. If he makes it past Plant, you may well see him fighting those guys, or Benavides. In the meantime, stop criticizing him for fighting undefeated world champions, when most of the people you like to talk up have barely begun to unify their own divisions. If super middleweight is such a crappy division, why don't we see tons of undisputed champions, especially at super middleweight?

"Lara gave him trouble," which even if it weren't overdone, that's seven years ago. People do get better with more experience, and he's in his prime now. If you're going to hate, at least don't recycle the ******est stuff.

It sure does look like both Plant and Canelo may be underestimating each other though. Not sure what look Plant can give Canelo that he hasn't seen before, but he's got skills.

And lets be honest, Canelo has made it clear, he's not willing to offer certain fighters the opportunity because if he did, they would be there for all 12 rounds. Too risky.

Don't get me wrong, unification means something but not so much in the single weakest division in all of boxing.
A unified champion in ANY division means something. It's why we haven't had many in the past 40 years.

If 168 is so bad why didn't Golovkin or Charlo or Andrade or anybody else beat him to the punch and move up to unify it?

Canelo blazes the trail and the rest of them just sit back with their thumbs up their butts, watching and wondering what just happened.

I’ve seen plenty of Plant’s fights. He’s nothing special.
BJS was a southpaw so he had a style Canelo wasn’t use to.
Plants a world class fighter but his orthodox style will be easier for Canelo to figure out.
By the middle rounds he’ll be backing up, eating counters and getting set up to get dropped.

It’s a known fact now that Canelo haters are Straight racist bigoted POS. They’re is no reason to hate him the guy is chill as ****(unless you bad mouth him). He’s the only true modern great in boxing today and his resumes is leaps and bounds above anyone else in the sport today.

They hate him for one simple reason because he’s The best boxer right now and he happens to be Mexican simple as that.

                  1. Why go straight to the race card? What proof do you have that people who dislike canelo do so because they are racist? There’s plenty to dislike about him. Many fans don’t like fighters who get Caught cheating. Many fans don’t like fighters who get obvious favorable treatment from judges and title organizations. Many fans don’t like fighters who behave like divas by dropping titles, making diva like demands such as multiple catchweight and rehydration clause fights, many fans don’t like a hypocrite who can call someone else an m’fer but then act like it’s complete blasphemy when some says the same word to him. Lastly, it’s pretty easy to dislike a fighter that has an obnoxious fan base that shamelessly defends everything I mentioned above.
                  2. As far as Canelo negotiations with bivol, you’d have to be pretty gullible not to see that it was a ploy and cheap attempt to try and get haymon to agree to his ridiculous demand that he be paid 40 mil even if the plant fight got cancelled for some reason. He tried to make it seem like he was moving on but with bivol but once he realized that it didn’t work, he went back to pbc to restart negotiations.

The group of fans who supposedly dislike him because of the fail test are the same fans who worship Fury or Roy Jones.

The group of fans that’s dislike him because he get “favorable treatment” are the same groups who worshiped Floyd Mayweather.

                    100% Facts!!!!!!

Please stop acting like it’s not race related when it clearly is. I’ll respect these clowns a little if they just flat out admit they don’t like a non black or non Caucasian fighter being the best p4p because that’s exactly what it is.

You wrote “100% facts” but literally based everything you said on pure assumption and 0 facts. As I said there’s plenty of reasons to dislike canelo and the ones who shamelessly defend everything I mentioned mainly do so because they are Mexican Americans who feel it makes them more Mexican to be canelo groupies. Most of these fans who worship canelo wouldn’t do so if he wasn’t Mexican. True hypocrites. So maybe you need to assess why you love him so much instead of assuming that everyone who doesn’t is racist.
