And it appears that Peterson was getting handled more than he usually does becuase why would he go and punch a man while he drinking water. That is one of those frustrated "U mad" moves.

He prolly had a better 2nd day after getting wore out the 1st day. and what is up with this baseball winding punches that are suppposedly ladning on Floyd. HaHahahHa....embelishment at it's finest!

i told 2501 about this last week.

i go to bald eagle, where the petersen bro's work out and spoke to coach cunningham and lamont and they told me everything that you read here.

lamont gave mayweather the business, there is no debate.

This is cool information. I'm now fully confused. I spoke w/ a journalist (via e-mail) who spent a lot of years in Vegas. He says his sources told him that Peterson got beat up.

Either way, this is great news for Mayweather. He got good sparring, and he should now know the rust level. It's true that MM usually spanks his sparring partners. That is useless. What he needs is good, tough gym wars like this one.

          Antonio,

I agree with you. Floyd needs GOOD work in the gym.
I also agree with them using 18 oz gloves a month away. If you are putting Floyd in with tough, fast-handed fighters, then you can't risk him getting cut or re-aggravating the rib. The fight has already been postponed once.

I question if Floyd ever had a rib injury. I think Floyd is more rusty than he will lead people to believe and needed the extra time IMO.

Two weeks after it happened, the local gym **** and numerous Las Vegas insiders are still chatting, without rest, about the sparring session between Mayweather and undefeated junior welterweight Lamont Peterson. Its funny how the article opens up with speculation and fabrication. Truth is when something happens you don't have to dig for it. It seems ole buddy rick reeno was again trying to fabricate his own tale. Between rick reeno and ronnie nathanielsz I don't know who is more full of ****. They are the kings of fabrication. "Hero of Asia" lol. Anyway, it seems rick wants to get hits for this article which is why he says his source wants to remain anonymous. Yea right. Rick would blow this up with direct quotes and tell you EXACTLY who "said" this. As far as the incident team peterson just keeps talking about lamont but not floyd which is a clear indication that all they are doing is fabricating. If Lamont really would have done this then the first source would have never said that Floyd whooped him would he? Didn't think so... So in the end the only person that gets anything out of this article is rick. By the way I like both peterson brothers but I know had Lamont actually done this he would have aired Floyd out all over the news. Not "keep" it secret like they claim. Bring some proof

this is what i tend to believe.
people dont want to watch because of the perceived mismatch.
let a news out that floyd is not in is best elements.
that marquez will give this version of floyd some fits come fyt nyt.

You don't know the business then. In sparring for pro fighters there is an unwritten rule you follow by keeping your mouth shut. That's why the sparring partners of Oscar didn't say anything when they were handling Oscar because they are being payed by him and it's the least you can do.

If you go talking **** about how you whooped this guy and whooped that guy, you won't get good sparring ever again. I believe Peterson held his own, I truly do because the only reason his camp said something was to tell the truth about the bull**** coming out of Mayweather camp.

Mayweather is a proud and arrogant fighter, he doesn't want to lose anything he does and I'm sure it was a tightly contested battle and he didn't like it. To say that Peterson would have ran his mouth though is wrong because there are certain unwritten rules in boxing and running your mouth after a heated sparring session is a no no....
