I prefer gym stories to remain as such for this reason. They get embelished A LOT. Not to mention sometimes guys are trying different things that just don't work or have to taper things back, the list goes on. I've seen guys look great in the gym and once they hit the ring sans the headgear, they can't fire a shot and they fall apart. Everyone will lose a sparring session sometime in their life, it happens to everyone. To brag about sparring sessions is flawed unless your trying to get into your opponents head if your about to fight them. To be honest I wouldn't be shocked if Lamont got the better of Floyd, but put that fight full speed without headgear and with the bright lights on and cameras rolling and tell me if Floyd falters against Peterson. I like the Peterson brothers better, but no way either one of them comes close to Floyd when it counts.

You guys forget that when a guy is in training like Floyd there's several factors that come into play:

        1. Floyd had already put in a lot of work that day, running for miles in the morning, doing a ton of workouts, weightlifting, calisthenics etc
        2. Floyd could have been sparring other people prior to that, i.e. he wasn't "fresh" cus he most likely could have already put in rounds with other boxers whereas Lamont comes off the bench fully fresh so to speak and goes for Floyd's throat, clearly an advantage for Lamont.

Even the circumstances out and I'm sure Floyd would destroy him.

it still baffles my mind how a guy who has 39 fights & 25 kos yet his best names on his resume is diego corrales, jose castillo, old oscar, hatton, genaro, judah & baldomir became such a great fighter scratch that, a all time great fighter simply by yelling that he is a great fighter & with his undefeated record. & people actually defend & write about it. That much i know.

As for the sparring session, who the hell knows. Ever since he made it he never shows sparring footage.

The guy's whole career & persona is so seeped in lies, deceit, & smoke & mirrors that you just dont know. According to him & his thuggish ruggish fans we should just believe it & give him the benefit of the doubt.

If Lamont did his thing then he did his thing...an actual fight is a whole different story...

I know guys who look impressive and flashy in sparring but aint the same in an actual fight...and that's with headgear...

Everyone has their own side to sparring...for example P. Will claimed he owned Margarito in sparring. Margarito's camp said vice versa. Unless your there, or there's footage we really never know for sure...

Two undefeted champs in sparring, must have been a good one. Both stories are saying the same thing - what's the big deal.Word to Peterson, exept to that part when Floyd goes for a drink and he hits him. Now go whoop Bradley's a$$.

The way the story is unfolding over all it seems like
both sides put in their work but for Lamont to hit
Floyd when he went to drink some water has to say
something about Floyd getting to him mentally. All
in all, it's just sparring, is this really news?

Get real people... I do believe Peterson had a better second day than he did a first, but that's about it.

the truth is probably somewhere in between. Floyd dominated some rounds, Peterson others

I don't either of them got totally tooled like each camp is saying
