In 2 weeks, we've had two brilliant, albeit, different HW world title fights
The selfish guy in me wants to see the division's top fighter now just fighting each other and others who are just on the cusp of their level. Fury, Usyk, Joshua, Wilder, Joyce, et, al.
With the exception of Wilder, who has earned an easy fight after being in w/Fury x3, I don't want to see the rest of these guys anywhere near scrubs.
The HW division is kicking today, certainly more than it was 3 years ago when the only mega fight to make seemed to be Wilder and Joshua. Ideally, this group will just be in absolute firefights with each other over the next couple of years. **** the 0s. Let them all lose a couple. Whatever, lets just get it on.
Now the decent man within me actually says that if someone like those above, who has made money, has had success and now want to kick back and protect themselves, then massive respect from me; I don't begrudge that one bit. If Wilder is that man, then good luck to him, because he's just been in 2 wars. I know Fury's rubbing a bit of salt in here, but he has a bit of a point
But, going back to the selfish guy, I hope Wilder stays well in the mix. Yeah, he's got major flaws in his game, but from an entertainment perspective, he's up there.
If he looks to start rebuilding after recuperating then the next few years of HW boxing are gonna be ****ing unreal.
