I found myself enjoying Sanchez style of boxing (didn't get the boos?). He is not on the level of Usyk, but he is promising addition to HW division. Time will reveal everything else.
Does Sanchez technical skills on the same level as Usyk

Comparing Sanchez to Usyk is not fair. FS is a prospect coming into his own. Usyk is and has been a Champ for a long time, taking on all comers, in two different weight classes. Sanchez will carve his own path. Time will tell. Be safe everyoneComment

Im not a fan of Sanchez but can recognize his skill level. Different amateur schools (Ukrainian versus Cuban) but both incredibly skilled. At the risk of being very lazy in my analysis, I see them like HW versions of Loma and Rigo. Usyk's professional resume has some very good CWs plus Hunter, Chisora and AJ. Frank has a very limited Efe Ajagba.

If by "Luis Ortiz treatment", you mean he will fight Alexander Flores, call out every HW and then turn down the fights offered, I really hope not.
Ortiz just turned down Otto Wallin (who then signed on to fight Whyte). It's time for us to dispense with the whole Ortiz bogeyman nonsense.
I could see Sanchez getting avoided. He's skilled, not particularly exciting for the fans to watch and has no fanbase himself. But at that point, who's fault is it if he's avoided? At that point, is his juice worth the squeeze?Last edited by PBR Streetgang; 10-12-2021, 11:21 PM.Comment

What exactly does usyk do differently than Sanchez style and technical wise because Sanchez throws faster combinations etc.? Anyone answer this for me please?Comment

I think Sanchez is more exciting than he gets credit for I mean I am sure those saying it are just basing that off 1 fight which I thought a lot of fans and fighters actually could have learned a lot from.
He was fighting a big, basic puncher & he fought smart. What are people expecting him stand static in front of Ajagba and eat right hands?
Lateral movement keep him off balance. Take his right hand away from him.
He outboxed him, dropped him and upped it late on and put an exclamation point on it.
His workrate could have been a little higher if nit picking but a near punch perfect performance really.
Alternatively Ajagba could have taken far more risks but after eating some really hard, fast counters. He spent the fight fronting. He may have been coming forward but he sure as hell wasn't about taking risks and letting his hands go or trying to make anything happen.Comment

Nah Ortiz was badly avoided IMO. A lot of the top guys didn’t want that smoke.

After he iced Jennings nobody went near him for a good few years, they waited him out and he got old.Comment
