Im sure their plan was to diversify their punches to set the right hand better..and at least not telegraph it. The problem is you got a 6’9 guy 290 pounds throwing accurate one two combos on your head and riding on you.He asks a big heavyweight like Wilder to throw 30 jabs to the body, 10 right hands to the body in the first two rounds. Are you kidding me? That's why Wilder gassed out so early. Lightweights don't go to the body that many times using straight punches cause it's so tiring. Horrible, horrible tactic especially for somebody who gasses and gets pushed down. You just killed his legs having him bents so low to throw these body jabs. Malik Scott ain't ****
All strategies are easier said than done given how limited wilder at this stage of his career, there’s just plenty of things to fix, you really cant blame that on the trainer at this point. How else you gonna set up the right hand? Aside from hard feints and attacking the body.
wilder was gassed early in the second fight as well and he didn’t do any of that. It’s just more on fury that it is on wilderComment

the strategy worked - Scott did not throw a towel like Breland. Joke aside, I'm worried with Wilder's mental and physical health after another beating. His left ear was bleeding again, and took massive heavy punch. Let's see in the next 3-4 years if he still can speak as articulate as he is now or become like Rid**** BoweComment

I think it was actually a good strategy and did give Fury pause in the early rounds, stopped him in his tracks a couple of times and allow Wilder to set up some rights to the head. It did kinda go right out the window after Wilder got knocked down with that overhand in the 3rd, but he did manage to land some proper rights and a couple left hooks and even an uppercut or two! Then he kept taking so much punishment and had Fury wear down his legs that he did not have the power to hurt Fury too seriously and not enough energy to try for the body again and it was simply a matter of time before the fight got stopped.
Gonna give props to the crazy man, he did give it his all. He'd probably have beaten most other heavyweights tonight, but Fury's got his number.

Fury didn't figure **** out. Fury couldn't stop the body jabs or the straight rights to the body. He was getting pushed 10 feet back from those shots. Tyson did try to land some left hooks to counter but barely anything landed. Deontay just got tired of bending down so low and so far in order to throw these shots. Try shadow boxing and throw only jabs and right hands to the body by bending your knees and body to the sides. Wilder won the first 2 rounds by throwing these shots but he gassed himself out. Horrible game plan!
I thought the plan was good. He knew he couldn't win a long fight. So he tried to do something early. Hit to the body, and then target the head when his hands drop.
Unfortunately for him, Fury stood back and figured things out pretty quickly.
Strategy doesn't really matter when you're that far off the level of your opponent. It's a gaping gap between them.
For all the talk of how great this fight was or how great the trilogy has been, Fury has always been levels above Wilder.Comment

I challenge you to spend 2 rounds of shadow boxing only throwing jabs to the body and rear hand rights to the body, then tell me how you feel in the third round, the round Wilder got knocked down. You're probably not a big man like Wilder so it should be easier but still, go ahead and try it. But don't cheat, throw these shots hard and with proper body mechanics (bending at the waist to the sides and bending the knees with each shot).
