It was never going to work, it would never be sustained. I watched with a bunch of casuals who picked Wilder just to mess with me and they celebrated that first round. I told them, this won't last, he can't sustain this once the actual boxer in the ring adjusts. Fury adjusted. He hit him. Wilder went back to Wilder and Fury beat him like a ragdoll because that's what Tyson Fury will do anytime and everytime he fights Deontay Wilder. It's why you learn how to box. Lateral movement, working inside, all those little things - they matter.

Bizarre strategy, and Wilder looked so uncomfortable and apprehensive throwing them... I laughed immediately and said let's have a bet on how long this lasts, even fury looked bemused

He was throwing them from so far out too... Wilders ability to execute when someone steps into range is exceptional, his ability to close distance himself is comically amateurish at that level

Tactically it wasn’t bad at the start, He was actually doing the right thing trying to throw the jab different heights etc. It wasn’t until he got caught with the first big shot that he reverted to type.

Coming in so heavy was a horrible tactic though.

I think wilder conditioning threw Scott strategy out the window.

              Wilder is gonna Wilder

No trainer on Earth is going to change him.

Lightweights don't go to the body that many times using straight punches cause it's so tiring. Horrible, horrible tactic especially for somebody who gasses and gets pushed down. You just killed his legs having him bents so low to throw these body jabs. Malik Scott ain't ****

The strategy was good, but they made a mistake by making wilder gain weight
