The first fight GGG was robbed
Watch the fight again. The only fighter's back to touch the ropes was Canelo's.

You said he was deluded if he had it 9-3. I just said that Atlas had it virtually the same way

Anyway, I'm kind of tripping right now. Here are the official scorecards:
        https%3A%2F%2Fblogs-images.forbes.com%2Fpeterkahn%2Ffiles%2F2018%2F09%2Fcanelo_ggg_2_scorecard-1.png
They all gave the first round to Golovkin, and I'm not sure how that's possible. I mean, it was a very close first round, but I think Canelo edged that. Everyone seems to have scored that for Golovkin, and if you score the fight again, I'm curious as to how you scored the first round. And if anyone knows what the justification had been for all judges giving the first round to GGG, I'd love to know. I suppose it was so close that maybe they gave it to the champion. But for me, I think Canelo did more, landed a couple more clean shots and was able to slip most of GGG's punches will applying pressure.

I don't know man. Freedman gave the 12th to GGG but the others gave it to Canelo. I suppose it's the angle at which one sits. Or the side, rather. I've always thought that it's much easier to score a fight from a TV than sitting at ringside because we get to see all the various camera angles. In that respect, our scorecards should be more accurate than the judges.

I can see several of these rounds being swing rounds, but giving any of the later rounds to Canelo, except for the 12th because Gennady landed a lot of uppercuts, seems strange. I suppose those blows, however, can be hard to see if you're sitting at a bad angle.

Either way, when I look online at how people scored this fight, I see the majority thinking that Gennady won or, at the very least, that it should be a draw. I don't see too many saying that Canelo rightfully won. The only difference is that everyone said it was much closer than the first fight.

lol Man, it's been several years since I've really thought about this fight.
I'll have to watch it rd by rd again and see where my score comes out.

Watching it live, and every other time I've watched, I felt the first 4 rounds were pretty even (iirc) and then even 5 and 6 were competitive. But I always have had GGG up 4-2. The last 6, GGG starts to find his stride more and Canelo slows down, and GGG takes those 4-2. It's always been a struggle for me to find even 5 rounds for Canelo in either fight. He doesn't have 1 clear round in either fight.

I know you will find this very hard to believe but Atlas has said some outlandish nonsense and scored some controversial decisions that the general consensus didnt agree but if he is your go to guy so be it .

I love Golovkin!!! But the later part of his career was very underwhelming but he made a lot of money during it.

I just agreed with him more or less on that one. His analysis was pretty sound. I don't agree with anyone 100% of the time in this sport. For the record he picked Canelo to win going into that fight as well
