I've just had the same concerns for a long time, yes they are getting the results for the most part but Joshua hasn't looked truly impressive since the Charles Martin fight, there's been many fights he's looked one paced and struggled for ideas, Parker, Takam, Pulev, he was losing rounds to Povetkin until Povetkin began to slow down.

Theres a lack of variety to his work, Robert Mcracken is an A, B, C man, Joshua really should have moved on from the basics by now and have more creativity, it could be an issue again tonight, I'm expecting there to be a couple of points in this fight where he needs to switch his approach but we will see if he's able to or if he's left needing a hail Mary or getting the benefit of the doubt in enough close rounds to get a decision.

Plain and simple, Usyk should end this fight flat on his back, anything less is a sub par performance considering Joshuas talent and physical gifts.

What rounds was he losing to Povetkin ? The first ? Come on he wasn’t losing rounds to anyone ,the fights he’s been in haven’t been close besides the Klitschko one when he was 19 fights in . He’s giving up a round or two consecutive on rare occasions but when it’s competitive you guys act like he’s losing ,it doesn’t work like that . Even against Ruiz he was holding his own behind in the fight in the first loss .

He literally mauled Pulev ,not sure what most want from him ?

How is there a lack of variety? He’s finished most opponents by breaking them down different and finished them in different ways . You guys can’t be watching the same fights .

He didn’t lose to Breidis. Had had Breidis winning 4 rounds if I remember right.

Usyk is an ATG and has a very good chance of beating AJ.

        In fact I’m predicting it.

AJ is not the finished article or at least there are areas where he needs to tighten up or should I say loosen up.

AJ is just a rather basic boxer-puncher he's explosive, athletic, he hits hard but there is nothing complex about his style exactly. That isn't to say he can not win the fight.
He's big, he does hit hard, his skills are probably a touch underrated as-is imo his handspeed but like the rest of todays HWs, he is as vulnerable as elite HWs get.

His chin doesn't seem great, his stamina is questionable.
Everytime he gets hit pretty clean he reacts horribly.
There are defensive flaws and he stays too tall when on his exits.
People claim he has a great uppercut but in truth its telegraphed too the heavens.

It shouldn't be any shock if someone as quality and as experienced as Usyk dethrones him. Barring him getting caught cold he is going to cause problems, serious problems. He is too good not to.

I'm not sure what to expect tonight, I've changed my mind about half a dozen times and nothing would surprise me.

Currently I think Joshua is going to score a KO against the run of play but that'll probably change after lunch.

He can beat Usyk if he catches him with a combination, but i see people overrating Joshua like he is the next Lennox Lewis , when in reality he is Frank Bruno mark 2.0

                Yup.

What punches do you think AJ will have success with? He seems to struggle with landing his backhand at long range with any kind of consistency.

His jab is decent but nothing spectacular.

I’m actually struggling to see a AJ victory

Joshua is not Superman, deep down you know he has certain flaws 'But he faces up to them or is trying to and fights through them'.

If you are not trying to be smart, this thread makes you look like a 'Front Runner or Glory Hunter'.

If I had never seen your post before, and only seen this thread 'This is what you are looking like'.

I can only imagine the type of criticism and mocking Joshua will receive if he is beaten, will be on another level. Whether it be on the internet or even by the media.

Just stick with your fighter, until the end. You have probably created this thread with angle, I get the angle 'But it is making you look like something else'.

Things happen in boxing, I don't think ether Fury or Joshua are in their best form.
Stop trying to score cheap point because I destroyed your dumb arse for having the audacity to even compare the greatest amateur HW the U.K. has ever produced (AJ) with dog***** like Pricey, Haye and Fury as amateurs.

Again: AJ was better than the trio combined in the amateurs!

I’m a super AJ fan who has followed him from amateur day until now and I watched almost all his amateur fights and I’ve watched all his pro fights. Don’t group me with all these idiotic Matchroom/Hearn fans who can’t even point to AJ’s best attributes as a boxer.

Usyk is very basic/amateurish and almost everything he does falls into AJ’s strengths. And he’s not as crafty with high ring IQ like a Povetkin. The cruiserweight division has always been the weakest division in the sport and none of the people he fought in that division are world beaters.

Usyk has an upright European style although his footwork is very good. And he leans into his punches whilst his upper body stays stiff behind it. AJ is a counterpuncher and he’s going to counter that all night. Also, Josh is at his best against European style boxers over 6’2 and this won’t be different especially with all the advantages he has with height, reach and being bigger.

So I expect him to beat the guy convincingly and stop him. But if he doesn’t - thar means he has checked out of boxing mentally and it’s time to retire.

If Usyk wins, I’m making him an honorary mid tier American hwt.

Usyk is probably the best fighter AJ has fought since Wlad. Hes certainly better than ****ing Ruiz.
