You've seen him in the Postol fight. Even Beltran made him run in some of the rounds.
John Molina with his inimitable come-forward style made him clinch like a vise grip.
So I wouldn't be surprised if he'll, or forced to, employ such survival tactics in this fight.
I'm telling people right now, Porter's style is going to set Crawford off and he ALWAYS makes mistakes after he gets hurt by anything. Porter is more durable than the others that hurt him.

And the actual media eats it up because affecting the narrative is what gives them power and keeps all of y’all coming back for more. The truth doesn’t sell basically. So keep on internet pretending and social media narrative bending. But the proof is in the pudding and we all know that Terence Crawford is the absolute best right now. He’s the man to beat and any conversation about who is the best in boxing right now is centered around him. Hate it or love it. Openly accept it or try to spin it. But no one truly doubts it.Combat Talk Radio likes this.

With that said, after Postol, Crawford's resume looks developmental. Like opponents you would give a very good up and coming early 20s boxer. From Molina to Brook, that's something you would expect from Vergil Ortiz Jr. A fighter who is in the developing stages of his career. Problem is Crawford already did that from 2013 (Prescott) to 2016 ending with Postol. Prescott, Klimov (I thought this was a good fight, good learning experience due to Klimov's style), Burns, Gamboa, Beltran, Dulorme, Jean, Lundy, Postol. These were decent to good fights for him at the time, as he was developing. These fights happened in a span of 3 years, 26 to 29. Which is fine. Crawford was not a great boxer in the amateurs, and he was not showing signs of greatness in the beginning of his pro career. He looked average. Looked average vs Prescott, Klimov, and Burns. He just did not look great. He just looked better than them, but not greater than them. So I get the development phase for him. He started looking better from Gamboa to Postol. But then after that, his opponent level reverted to Prescott, Klimov and Burns level. He became known/praised and took 3 steps back. I don't even see Danny Garcia level fighters on his resume. DSG is better than anyone on his resume. And DSG is not even known as a good welterweight. He is seen as a decent bottom of the top 10 WW. But Crawford is #2 somehow with zero wins over any good welters.

He hasn't beat a significant 147 lb fighter since he moved up. He fought someone who already had their face broken, someone who got shot in the leg, and some other guy who had a great nickname in mean machine but no one ever heard of. Only an idiot would refuse to acknowledge doubt.

It is what it is. No matter how emotional you get about it.

And none of it is genuine. All of y’all just want to have a voice in the media narrative of dishonesty and distortion.
I agree with a lot of what you say about some people's motives but I also think that some of the criticism of Crawford is justified.

The fact is they just got fat and comfortable taking low risk fights under the Top Rank Protection Program. Just accept it.
The WBO calling for the mando is forcing Crawford to finally face a top welterweight.
That's what I wanted so as long as the fight goes through I already won. It's a beautiful thing.
