Eddie didn't want War Chisora for AJ. Styles make fights and Chisora and Joshua is only 60-40 in AJ'S favor. Remember when he brought Luis Oldtiz over to fight in England for a few fights, all his guys, Joshua, Whyte, etc, were calling out everyone under the sun, except Oldtiz, as they both knew he was a problem. Eddie couldn't wait to let Oldtiz go so he could excuse Joshua and Whyte from fighting him, so Wilder had to deal with him instead. Nash out.
How many times did you have to wipe the dribble of your chin typing that nonsense.
Ortiz could have had a mandatory shot at AJ back in 2017 but failed a drug test and got himself removed from the rankings then flat out ducked when offered the chance to step in for Miller despite being on record saying he would do so.

I can see a couple different ways Usyk can win... and three or four Joshua can. Joshua just has natural power at HW that Usyk just physically does not, so a ton of boxing strategies that would work for Joshua will not for my man, Mr. Usyk. But I have said before, Usyk comes to win, not just do well. He has been shaky at 200+, but all it takes is one perfect night and he will cement a legacy moving up to HW that really has few peers at CW already. I 100% agree with Oldskoolg... the first few rounds will tell a VERY interesting tale. If Usyk is effective early on and avoids bombs from a naturally cautious Joshua.... wow things will get intense real fast in AJ's corner.
I feel. I very feel.
that is the only way i really think usyk wins is if AJ is too gun shy and just boxes him lightly and thinks he is ahead on the cards when he isnt and his corner never puts pressure on him to do more. Agree that AJ is the one with more options, he can box use his reach advantage or he can apply pressure with the big power differential between the two of them.Comment

But the money man ... if he loses he goes on to fighting easier dudes at HW or return to CW. But the money man. I generally don't say props to someone challenging a belt holder because thats the whole purpose, climb upComment

But so did the Ukrainian light heavy (?) champ in this last olympics. Won the fight by the second round, still came hard in the third, and was stopped. Dude hadn't lost a fight in like 6 years.
I actually haven't been this excited about a fight in a long time. It's a hard fight for both men, and both make good champs as far as their characters, but if Usyk wins, he had the harder climb. AJ is bigger and taller with longer reach. I'm looking forward to each guys strategy this time around.Comment
