Absolutely....Loma vs Lopez and Jermell vs Castano need to be run back asap. Can't believe there's fans of the sport who see otherwise. It's not like we're getting Teo vs Tank or Ryan Garcia anytime soon...
Lets settle it. Should Lomachenko get a rematch?

They know and that is why they fear a rematch.
there are other good fights at 135 for both fighters but the rematch is a damn good fight too.
I’d prefer Loma/Davis and Lopez/Haney but I’ll take whatever I can get amongst the top guys. Throw Ryan in there too.Comment

At this point? No.
Lopez has to get over Kambosos and Lomachenko over Commey.
After that, there is no reason not to have the two rematch if they both come through victorious.
Lopez isn't going to fight Haney to unify the division. He will likely NOT fight Davis to square away the WBA title either.
So that leaves random mandatories or moving up (which he won't do just yet, I don't believe).
So why not? May as well get them back in the ring in 2022/Comment

it does when you're having trouble making weight. The same way Canelo tired early in his first fight with Cripple G and in the next, after pissing hot and blaming it on meat, fought the whole 12 rounds. Teo probably walked around at 165 when not training. Stop making excuses. I picked Rigo to beat Loma, when Rigo quit, I made no excuses. He lost, he quit. Simple as that. Loma lost. It wasn't controversial, it wasn't a robbery, he lost because he simply didn't throw any punches for the first 6 rounds and got hurt in the 12th.
I also know how an injured shoulder feels. I had to have surgery to repair it as well. And I'll tell you this, it hurts. And the longer you have that injury, the worse it's going to be. When you first injure it, it hurts, but not so bad that you can't use it. The longer you have that injury, however, the worse it feels. Inflammation starts to set in, and when that happens, the pain increases. This is why he had to have an injection for the pain. Had he not had that injection, he wouldn't have been able to throw anything at all.[T]he pain is more tolerable, and usually only hurts with certain movements, such as overhead or reaching toward the back. Over time, the symptoms become much worse, and are not relieved by medicines, rest, or exercise.
MedPlus
[T]ears ... cause immediate, intense shoulder pain and arm weakness. With degenerative tears, you may have mild pain that improves with over-the-counter pain relievers. Over time, the pain gets worse, and pain relievers don't help.
The other problem was that he said he heard it pop or grind after the second round, and that made him try to use it as little as possible, which is why he was doing everything to put himself in a position where he could primarily use his left.
And this thing about Teofimo's power being the reason why he wasn't throwing is nonsense. It was due to Teofimo's boxing skill. Plain and simple. If Teofimo's power had been the issue, we wouldn't have seen Loma getting in the pocket and hitting Teofimo like he did. Teofimo was not tired by that round. He's a 23 year old that barely threw up until then. One punch every 10 seconds for 12 minutes does not tire out a 23-year-old pro boxer. LOL Come on man. It doesn't even tire me out.
He was being honest. The injection helped but sounded as if he could feel the tear worsening when he started throwing.Comment

I’d have Loma-Tank just in behind at 3, all great fights IMO. I know people talk about the top 4 or 5 at 135, but for me Teofimo, Loma and Tank are levels above the likes of Garcia and Haney. The reason I’d put Teofimo-Tank as the number one fight I’d want to see is because I believe it would be so explosive.Comment

Yeah. The judges gave it to Teofimo. The scorecards were absolutely controversial. It was a super close fight and should have been a draw. You are just making **** up. Why, I wonder. If you don't like a fighter, that's your prerogative. But if you are going to talk bull****, I'll hit you in the face with a fist full of facts.

Gervonta is almost never in a boring fight. He was asked who he wanted to fight next, Lopez was the answer. Let's have it!

Unless I'm mistaken, you used to be a big Haney fan a couple of years back. What changed? If I'm mixing you up with someone else, apologies. Just curious.. (I kinda became a semi-Haney fan after his last fight. Good display of boxing skills for 10 rounds.)Comment

Yes he was the champion and it was close enough to warrant a rematch especially considering the fact he is the biggest money fight for Teo right now. Outside of fights that we know won't happen. ( Tank)Comment

I think it depends. The truth is what is Lopez doing at this weight? He's a big kid and ain't gonna stay there unless he starts the funny stuff, chemical magic... What does a fight with Loma mean for his future? If he wants to stay a big 135 pounder then I guess the fight makes sense. But why not jump up where he is going? He got the scalp... Now get up see if the power carries... and start calling out the names at 140 like Regis P, and Taylor. If he wins a big name at the next weight, when Haney and Tank grow they will have to come up towards Lopez... and Lopez gets to keep the scalp (Loma) and gets some experience to see where he stands.
Im thinking about Broner. Broner found out too late that his power and skill sets, etc did not carry. By the time he went up he was a one shot fighter. He could drop people, but could not really hang. Lopez might discover the same, and could at least jump down and try to stay down low a few more years... Even then it hardly matters if he wins or loses to Loma. If he wins again (doubtful) he still has the same problem, if he loses? at least some of the other guys might seek him out for big fight thinking he is beatable.
In the long run does it matter if he fights Loma again? Now... I know it matters to Loma! lol.Comment
