    Here's what he said:

This kid is a PUNK. There was no rematch clause in the contract sent to both guys, and no one requested one out of pride. Arum, out of his own mouth, said he doesn't do rematch clauses, leaving it up to the boxers later on. So he sent out contracts that didn't have a rematch clause.

Having Lopez presume that Loma wouldn't give him a rematch is ludicrous. Does Lopez have a crystal ball that lets him see into the hearts and minds of others, to see into the future on what someone will or will not do? It's absolutely absurd.
    Need to correct you.

There WAS a rematch clause in the original drafts.

Teo Sr. taunted Loma into removing it, saying that anyone asking for a rematch clause was afraid of losing.

Loma, like an overconfident dumbass, removed it.

The fact is, Teo Sr. knew his son would barely escape if he won, which is why they don't want a rematch now.

But Loma's destruction of Nakatani, a guy who gave Teo all he could handle, has now forced Teo's hand, assuming he gets past George "CM Punk" Kambosos Jr., and that's not a 100% thing, because Teo has been distracted with his pregnant wife and all of this Loma smoke.

Which is why, for the good of the division, I hope Kambosos pulls a Jeff Horn and gets his hand raised.

Had Loma at least tried in the first half of the fight. I might be remotely interested. Much ado about nothing. Loma will be leery of Teo's power early and hope Teo runs out gas and steam

I agree with Teo. Loma and no and Bob would never give him a rematch if he had lost.

Loma should probably fire Bob or leave given he put him in the fight without a rematch clause.

Confidence is one thing. This is ineffective assistance of counsel.

Drops the belt and sits out a year rather than fight Haney for a a couple million. Signs a deal to fight Teo with no rematch clause. Goes on to fighting Nakatani and commey.

            Thats TR for you.

Lopez is a prize fighter. If he doesn't actually prize fight, WTF is he going to do? At first, he claimed he'd never rematch Lomachenko because he disrespected him and his father after the fight. Now, he says it's because Vasyl wouldn't have returned the favor if the shoe were on the other foot. I wonder what he'll come up with for not fighting anyone else at the top of the division?

Well he's right, but that's usually how A sides and B sides work. When the B side loses, there's never a demand for a rematch unless it's a robbery, or at least a close enough fight. And that still doesn't guarantee a rematch will take place.

Lopez is saying this now, but if Loma keeps winning and the price is right, Lopez will take the rematch.

To be fair to Lopez, there really isn't high demand for the rematch outside of a few fans, at least for now.

I agree. And in regard to not a high demand, even if that were the case, I don’t think you can deny that it’s a hell of a lot bigger than the Kambosos fight. And that’s PPV. Lomachenko is much more well known that Teofimo. That’s just a fact. And Arum feels it’s PPV worthy. If it’s promoted correctly, it could be the biggest payday for both boxers.
