I dont like the concept of constant automatic rematches every time the favourite loses, but in this case I think it would have been the best thing. Loma/Lopez 2 would have been a legit big PPV worthy fight.

I don't have a problem with rematches but they must be in the contract..............................We all know they cost money....................So don't be cheap!

2nd half of the fight is compelling enough for me have a rematch. But is Lopez doesnt want it, then so be it.

I dont think Loma will lose sleep over it.

As for Lopez, I really dont see anything special for him beyond 135lbs.

              Here's what he said:

This kid is a PUNK. There was no rematch clause in the contract sent to both guys, and no one requested one out of pride. Arum, out of his own mouth, said he doesn't do rematch clauses, leaving it up to the boxers later on. So he sent out contracts that didn't have a rematch clause.

Having Lopez presume that Loma wouldn't give him a rematch is ludicrous. Does Lopez have a crystal ball that lets him see into the hearts and minds of others, to see into the future on what someone will or will not do? It's absolutely absurd.

He's ducking Loma now after Loma showed Lopez that he was outclassed. We all saw the last half of the fight. We all saw that Lopez couldn't hit the side of a barn with Loma in the ring. And we all saw Lopez's head constantly bouncing off of his back!

He want's to fight Taylor. But Taylor doesn't want to fight Lopez. Taylor said he's NOT going to fight Lopez, and Lopez doesn't have any leverage to make the fight. He had leverage to make the fight with Loma. But now with Josh, what does he have? A super belt? Great. Josh doesn't want to beat a 135 pounder. He wants to fight Crawford. He wants to move up.

So Teofimo is going to leave the hottest division in boxing to go fight someone that is leaving the 140 pound division. Say what?! He's above fighting Haney. He's above fighting Tank. He's above fighting Garcia. He's above fighting any of the ranked fighters in the most stacked division in boxing.

That win over Loma was a fluke! A one-armed Loma with extremely biased/corrupt judging. The fight was a draw. I want this kid to get a beat down now.

              What does everyone think?
I think Lopez is right, Loma would have never given him a rematch and I think it's you that's the punk to be fair.

Draw? Lopez won by a landslide and Loma let the fight go because he was timid, not injured. Loma's biggest wins are against extremely smaller guys like Rigondeaux and Gary. Loma fights a guy his size, he lets half the fight go cuz he's chickenshet.

Once Lopez gets the mandatory out of the way He should rematch loma. Its the biggest fight out there for him with the garcia and tank fights looking near impossible to make.

Taylor won't be around long enough at 140 for him to land that fight. If he moves up as wbo champ he will be number 1 contender but Taylor is getting his wbo mandatory out of the way next.

I bet Lopez faces someone like barboza Jr for the vacant 140 belt when Taylor moves up

Ahahahahahaha By a landslide!! Ahahahahahah. Better stick to making trolling gifs bud. That’s all you got going for yourself. You sound like an absolute MORON here. Keep that YDKSAB tag on your profile too. It’s absolutely meme worthy LMFAO! Obviously Loma doesn’t walk across water, but what you are saying makes me think you have a learning disability. Hahah This **** is too funny.

The thing here is that the father said that he wants this fight for his son. The father is all for it. Arum shook hands with him. Arum is all for it because of the money it’ll generate.

I get Lopez doesn’t want to fight Loma. He has these belts now and doesn’t want to lose them. That’s why I don’t see him fighting Taylor. It’s easy to talk up a fight when there’s barely a chance of making it happen. But when people bring up realistic fights, then Teofimo is not down.

Arum and his father shook on this fight happening. We all saw it. I get that the father can’t make choices for his son, and he said as much. But that is Teofimo’s most realistic fight if he wants to make the big bucks. That’s what he wants, right? And we all know that Triller is now having an “oh ****” moment with Lopez. Right now they are saying,
”We ****ed up with the Lopez fight.” “We paid too much.” So another purse bid of that magnitude is not coming again anytime soon. He’s fighting on a Tuesday night!!! Hahah That turned out well. And watch the fight tank because no one pays for a PPV on a Tuesday night.

I foresee Lopez crawling back to Arum, begging for that fight with Loma, because he’ll realize it’s his only shot to make the money he so likes to brag about. Mark my words.

Well, at this point it is not like Loma wants immediate rematch, but seems rather fighting his way up again (against common opponents). I don't like immediate rematches in the contract so I like what Loma is doing. Refusing fight in advance leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
