Yes. They are not going to claim they are the worst or they are mediocre. They need to promote themselves. Confidence does not mean you skip the learning steps.

      Kev speaking facts.

Being moved too quickly can be dangerous.

Put a prospect in with an experienced top level guy could ruin a career. Physically and mentally.

Joshua has spoiled the fans today but in reality no one has had a better heavyweight record ever then he has in the number of fights .

Go back to the days of say Ernie Shavers he didn’t fight a live body well into his 40 something fight ,fans today don’t have the attention spans of the old school ones . Though Shavers was a bit overkill and purposely added to his knockout reputation fighting very weak opponents before he hit a big fight ,he fought Jimmy Young in his 45th fight .

As long as they don't take the media attention away from the top level guys I don't care how much they take their time.

            To me, it’s like you’re still a kid at 21...your body doesn’t stop growing until you’re 23 or 24.

It’s like watching High School, College and pro football. There’s different levels.

Boxing should be the same. Obviously, there are exceptions like Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson.

I definitely like to watch boxers at a younger age. They have more energy, testosterone and they throw more punches.

Fans say boxing is now polluted with too many belts

surely a good fighter can beat a trinket holder for it

Because too many fighters are into their 30's, still have their 0 but have yet to step up.

Fans are sick of it and are perhaps overreacting.

A loss is a big deal in boxing. This isn’t mma. I understand why boxers can take a long time to step up. Also name recognition and the amount of money you can add to the fight is important in boxing. No champ wants to fight an opponent who has a good enough chance of winning before that opponent can bring in enough money to make it worth while. This is prize fighting. UFC is run by the WWE style, they’ve said as much. You can say you want to fight the best, but that tune changes when you have a belt. Then you want to fight who will make you the most money and also on beating easier opponents that generate the most profit to risk. The more wins you put together the higher your purses get. It’s all very calculated. Nobody gets the belt and fights more often. Truthfully at the top level it’s all negotiated like it will be the lay fight of their lives. If not that then there’s rematch clauses tied in. A young fighter who beats a champ isn’t likely going to return the favour to someone else.

Since when has patience and youth ever been a thing, I want it and I want it now.

The old Bull and the young bull on top of the hill, the young Bull says look at that herd of cows down the valley, lets run down there grab the best one and fck the hell of her, old Bull says lets walk down and fck the hell out of all of them.

                    Patience is a virtue.
