They don't need to be pressure it nor rushed, that's for sure. The wrong opponent and otherwise once promising career, can go down the drain. They're other fighters, like Morell Jr. That you have to match him tough, he's young, but was a very good amateur. Others don't have the same background, so they learning on the job. Be safe
Why do some fans want to see young boxers step up so quick?

A loss is a big deal in boxing. This isn’t mma. I understand why boxers can take a long time to step up. Also name recognition and the amount of money you can add to the fight is important in boxing. No champ wants to fight an opponent who has a good enough chance of winning before that opponent can bring in enough money to make it worth while. This is prize fighting. UFC is run by the WWE style, they’ve said as much. You can say you want to fight the best, but that tune changes when you have a belt. Then you want to fight who will make you the most money and also on beating easier opponents that generate the most profit to risk. The more wins you put together the higher your purses get. It’s all very calculated. Nobody gets the belt and fights more often. Truthfully at the top level it’s all negotiated like it will be the lay fight of their lives. If not that then there’s rematch clauses tied in. A young fighter who beats a champ isn’t likely going to return the favour to someone else.Comment

The last "greats" we witnessed were DLH, Floyd, and Manny. These guys all stepped up their competition very early in their careers. Although they were mostly successful they did encounter some very tough fights and even losses. Even Floyd, who is technically undefeated, had favorable judging on a few occasions. Despite Floyd's undefeated record many fans hold Manny ahead of him in terms of ATG rankings.
The point is - fans want to witness greatness in EVERY sport. They wanted Mahomes vs Brady to gauge where Mahomes was at in terms of greatness. They wanted Canelo v Floyd, Loma v Teofimo, DLH v Pernell, Thurman v Manny...these are SPECIAL fights because they're either passing of the torch fights OR career-defining wins.
So the fans PUSH young talents to take CHALLENGES. Adversity weeds out the weak and/or unprepared. And through adversity greatness emerges. Even in DEFEAT...greatness can still grow. Canelo lost as a 22 year old to an old but clearly not SHOT Floyd. Canelo used that loss as motivation and as a means of education...he evolved as a fighter and has become GREAT himself.
Only quacks like yourself want to see more Peter Quillins or Lucian Butes or Deontay Wilder or Gennady Golovkin. Those fools feasted on C and D competition their entire career and when they finally stepped up to world-level opponents they either got sparked or exposed as being ordinary.
Hell, Wilder has been reduced to twerking for money on Malik Scott OF...and youre probably a subscriber. Weirdo
tl;dr young fighters seeking challenge against the best is a GOOD thing and not a BAD thing, idiotComment

If Pac or SRR or SRL or Duran had an 0, you better believe those 0's would mean plenty.
(Obviously guys who managed to find 100+ guys to beat AND have an 0 in their careers would be superhuman)
