Why were 90s heavyweights so muscular and able to block punches with their faces?

Who cares? The PED game has evolved and is as rampant as it was back then. The point of this is to diminish the 90s HWs I suppose but to be fair they would be even better with better technology and gear today. Ive said it many times, let them use whatever they want in every sport. I want to see hulks back in baseball blasting 500+ foot home runs every game.

No. There’s a lot of testing today. No top fighter is the monsters they were in the 90’s.

        These tired excuses.

Mayweather lost his dad to prison - how come he didn’t lose? Boxers change trainers all the time, it’s either you have it or you don’t.

Yes, like he’s the only one who ever sha..gged groupies before a fight. This is just as ridiculous as Haye’s pinky toe. AJ’s head was scrambled before Ruiz and his house in Miami and NY were besieged by American groupies, yet he never made any excuse. Tyson was grossly overrated and got knocked out every time he stepped up.

You obviously have no clue on what to look for in roided men.

Read elfaaag’s post and what I posted about traps, shoulders and chests. Those aren’t normal.

And who did Joshua lose to? And who did Wlad lose to? And who did even Vitali lose to? Lmao…. It’s called boxing. You win some and you lose some. This is a war that you can’t win.

Now, you’re making my point for me.

Most of you act like this is a weak and unskilled era with stuffs when that isn’t the case. Heavies in the 90s were actually stiffer and not as skilled if you look at it critically. The only edge they had was anabolic steroids due to lack of testing and EPOs increased their endurance hence they were able to block punches with their faces and recover quickly.

That was why 90s was much more fun for animalistic people who like the brutal nature of that era. Apart from that, this era is actually deeper and much more competitive.

                      Your theory has been debunked.
His super light obsession has surfaced a few times in the past, but since his loss to Ruiz Junior it has gone into overdrive.

And because of this obsession, he no longer hits as hard or is as durable 'Nothing I am saying is preposterous, people within boxing have also noticed these very same things'.

It is not a theory, it is happening.

If Joshua comes in at under 240 pounds vs Usyk, I think it could actually back fire.

Anyway, I am not so much bothered with this thread anymore 'This is most likely my last post on the thread'
