Why were 90s heavyweights so muscular and able to block punches with their faces?

Very little random testing going on except when contracted. So a lot of "out of competition" cycling, high use, etc.
I'm mostly talking about roids and HGH. And the highest point of use in sports were the 80s and 90s.
But I'd say in boxing, it reached the high point in the 90s.
Yes, most boxers probably use new gears today but they're not using roids and HGH. Only Canelo looks su****ious due to how big his head is and it only got bigger the past few years.
If you're a gym rat, it's easy to tell. Just look at their heads, shoulders and chest.Comment

Human growth hormone.
His head size never got bigger - he has always had the same long head. It just got fuller. There's a difference.
I know you suck the 90s' nuts but yer heroes are steroids nuts with limited skills who blocked punches with their faces. Look at how effed up their faces are.
90s remain the most overrated era stained by steroids.

Lewis, Bruno AND Joshua are all very suspect for PED usage at some point imo.
LMAO. AJ's chest and shoulders aren't as big as Lennox's.

AJ just has more definition due to having less body fat. More definition doesn't mean bigger.
And Lennox made a transformation within two years.
This was Lennox before Emanuel Steward and the diet.

Compare that picture to AJ at the Olympics in 2012 before turning pro

Hey, whilst I agree with you about the level of PED use in the 80s, 90s but do you really think that today's boxers aren't using?!Comment
