Can you imagine one of those coal miners, who were like 6'0" 195lbs, worked 60 hours a week, and had a staple diet of Pie and gravy getting in the ring with AJ? Don't make me laugh.

I don't think the crack addicts in the 90s would fare any better.

Now put in the elite guys of that era who were on PED's and you make it a little closer.
    Surely you jest ;0)

My point is, Klitschkos era was not that bad. Just brothers made all others looking bad.

I agree to an extent but I doubt many would argue that the Klitschko era was better, in those days it was one of the worst divisions in the sport so it's not really a huge surprise/achievement/or even worth mentioning that we have a more interesting and competitive division now.

The 90's wasn't great either it was just an improvement from the 80's and we got some classic matchups and a few great fighters. The current era has the potential to surpass that but we've not seen that potential get fulfilled yet IMO. AJ-Wlad is the only fight that can compete with the best fights of the 90's and looking at that list of current heavyweights there are a lot of potentially great fights, they just have to happen and there's plenty of time for it.

My main disappointment is the 'top 3' haven't fought outside of Fury and Wilder. I'd love to see AJ v Wilder but that fight might never happen, AJ v Fury is more likely but isn't a given with Fury's unpredictability and seeming refusal to defend his title. Until these fights happen, I can't really declare it 'the best era in heavyweight boxing history' as some like to claim. Just recently the same people were saying that Wilder's not only the worst heavyweight champ in history but one of the worst heavyweights ever and now they're conveniently using his name to claim that this is the 'best era ever', can't have it both ways.

Also, the quality of these fighters isn't that high, there might be more notable fighters in this era but Whyte, Parker ****ing Yoka, we're scraping the barrel with these guys and yes, I know their achievements but they're not very good fighters and the fact they get mentioned as 'top heavyweights' shows the quality isn't high but it makes for a more interesting and competitive division.

          - -Tysee Dearest and Deyonce have turned the division into their personal clusterfest that don't draw enough peanuts to pay their peanut purses.

AJ #1 already fought the #3 Parker who's still relevant, but Whyte and the rest of them are lower tier and soon out of the division, so fringe contenders like Yoka will be filling up the rankings looking for a payday.

Remember when an average, old light heavyweight with NO power was able to eat his way up 40lbs and become one of the top heavyweights and challenge Vitali for the heavyweight crown?

But Fury/AJ/Usyk/Whyte/Hrgovic/parker/Wilder couldn't have survived in the K2 era

              Hahahahaha
