Fury and Wilder have just been taken off boxrec. Damn. The house of cards are starting to fall already
Once Fury and Wilder have no belt to hold hostage - it will open up the division.
Honestly, it’s not like it’s different in other divisions tbh save for 140. But the talent level at 140 is the worst in boxing. They aren’t fighting one another in the other divisions as well.
The HW division remains the best division in the sport.Comment

Parker, Ruiz and Hunter also had great amateur backgrounds. As a U.S citizen I completely agree ,also add in national champs and just olympians you have Pulev , Hrgovic , Mahkmudov ,Vianello ,Dychko , Vykhryst , and Romanov all good backgrounds and even Wilder is listed as bronze medalist ,you have or had a host of amateur champs Povetkin and Klitschko were around as well .Comment

Big deal, so one guy has named 11 fighters and another guy 40 fighters.
It means and proves nothing.
Anybody could go though any division and name 11 or 40 fighters.
This heavyweight division is competitive, and it is my favorite division currently 'But ability wise, I don't think it is super great era'.
What makes this Heavyweight Division great, is the closeness in the competitiveness.
Nobody is really miles ahead of the competition. Even though the competition is close, it still has not produced a high number of great fights.
Note: Joshua vs Kiltschko 'Is most likely the greatest Heavyweight Title fight of the past two decades'. But there has been not many other great fights besides that. It is a good era overall, but not super great.

Name 40 potential top fighters from a division ?

If a division is competitive it usually means there is a solid era if the top guys are being challenged. You are wrong .Name one other era of so many great heavyweight fights in another era I’ll match it .Last edited by REDEEMER; 08-23-2021, 08:04 PM.Comment

You did not name 40 potentially top fighters, you named 40 fighters 'That is all you have done, you have proved nothing'.
