Same case with fighting Broner, Mathysse, Margarito, Mosley etc … all coming off losses or weakened by catchweights. And all these fights happened when he was much younger
I don't understand posts like this. Look at Pac s resume it is probably 3 times as strong as his nearest rival whoever that is be it nel o or whoever it may be?

i hate when casual who doesnt understand boxing make opinions that is totally irrelevant to the argument they are trying to make. weight had nothing to do with pacs win over oscar. would it been TKO? no , probably not , he wouldve probably lasted full twelve rds like margarito but pac wouldve won. Oscar losing had everything to do with pacs speed of his punches and pacs foot movement. oscar had no way of dealing with what pac brought , weight drained or not.Telling novice boxing fans it was because of weight is so pathetic.

I was being sarcastic. From 2009 to 2017 Manny fought multiple guys that were coming off losses and multiple guys weakened by ridiculous catchweight demands. Those are facts.

So why demand catchweights with Cotto, Margarito, Algieri, Marquez and a 147 weight for Oscar??
Why weaken your opponents? And then brag about being an 8 division titlist when 150 is factually NOT 154.

I didn’t say he lost because of weight. You sound extra sensitive. But denying that Oscar was weight drained when he clearly was either makes that person an idiot or a blinded by love groupie who can’t stand hearing the truth because they think it minimizes their idol. And for the record, you don’t know how the fight would’ve turned out had Oscar not been a zombie.

Let me make you understand that post. I’m going to be fair to Manny and will use facts and logic

These are the guys Manny fought from 2009-2017 and the context behind each fight:

1- Clottey had just lost to Cotto
2- Margarito had been KO’d by Mosley and weakened by catchweight
3- Mosley had lost to Floyd
4- Brandon Rios had lost to Alvarado
5- Broner was coming off two losses and a draw
6- Mathysse was rebuilding after getting beat by Danny Garcia and Postol
7- Vargas was irrelevant at 147
8- Cotto was a catchweight at 145 (where’s the challenge in that when you weaken a man?)
9- Oscar at 147, need I say more? Oscar was a 154 fighter for the previous 7 years.
10-Algieri was a virtual unknown kickboxer and a 144 Ibs catchweight.
11- Manny wanted to fight McGregor after criticizing Floyd for it.

We recognize Manny’s greatness but we can’t ignore some pathetic mismatches. How can you celebrate a resume like that? Littered with bums.
