If he fights Crawford and Spence, he is a mad man.
I think we will finally get a Crawford Pacquiao showdown.
in all my time following boxing, once Pacquiao mentions your name..it’s basically a done deal.
would be nice to see Porter offered side step money for this to happen.

These are the guys Manny fought from 2009-2017 and the context behind each fight:
1- Clottey had just lost to Cotto
2- Margarito had been KO’d by Mosley and weakened by catchweight
3- Mosley had lost to Floyd
4- Brandon Rios had lost to Alvarado
5- Broner was coming off two losses and a draw
6- Mathysse was rebuilding after getting beat by Danny Garcia and Postol
7- Vargas was irrelevant at 147
8- Cotto was a catchweight at 145 (where’s the challenge in that when you weaken a man?)
9- Oscar at 147, need I say more? Oscar was a 154 fighter for the previous 7 years.
10-Algieri was a virtual unknown kickboxer and a 144 Ibs catchweight.
11- Manny wanted to fight McGregor after criticizing Floyd for it.
We recognize Manny’s greatness but we can’t ignore some pathetic mismatches. How can you celebrate a resume like that? Littered with bums.
I think its a bit weak that you think a loss means a fighter is done or damaged goods. All the greats fought fighters with lossess. All great fighters pre Floyd had lossess so I dont know who you wanted Pac to fight. In fact, Pac himself had lossess and still fighting after being slept by Marquez.

He fought his 'rival' Marquez as well despite knowing how difficult the Marquez is. He does not duck anybody I think thay should pretty much be clear by now.

And just because boxers lost their last fight doesn’t mean they couldn’t redeem themselves, Lennox Lewis, Ali, Frazier, Leonard, Duran, Hearns etc lost too but they came back and became best boxers in the world. As far as catch weight is concerned, if they mutually agreed to it, there’s nothing to complain about. Fighting guys like Rios, Algieri, Matthysse, etc. was good "money wise”, who would say no to more or less than $30 million total earnings each time you fight guys like that?
You’re agreeing with me BUT then you expound on almost a defensive response. But let’s break down what you wrote;
1. All those guys you listed are ATG but more important, the competition they faced were killers. Brandon Rios, Algieri, Mathysse, Broner, Clottey, Vargas will never see the HoF let alone be considered ATGs. Ali fought great guys so did Leonard so did Lewis so did Hearns. Leonard’s rank in history is intact despite his loss.
2. How exactly has Rios redeemed himself after losing to Alvarado? He then lost to Manny and later got KO’d by Swift Garcia. How did Margarito redeem himself after getting KO’d by Mosley? He went to get beat by Manny. I could on and on.
3. “Mutually agreed” to catchweight? Roach is on record demanding catchweights. Whether they agreed to it or not, the point is Manny’s team chose to weaken those guys. If he was so good and so sure of his skills, why demand catchweights?
4. Your last response about those fights being “good money-wise” is just silly. Manny could have fought my next door neighbor and would have made the same amount of money. He also could have faced the top WWs and Junior WWs of that time and made the same amount of money BUT he chose not to. He chose to fight irrelevant guys with zero threat abilities. Guys that had zero shot at beating him. That is the very definition of cherry-picking

All the great fighters had losses and there’s no shame in that. However, was Brandon Rios ever great? He was coming off a loss to Alvarado. Why couldn’t the great Manny fight Alvarado instead?
Why fight Mathysse or Broner when there were other guys to fight? He did step it up in 2019 to beat Thurman which is a great win and he was set to fight Spence which was a great step up too.
We didn’t just start to watch boxing in 2019. We were looking for the ATG to fight legit threats. That did not happen.
What would your reaction have been of it was Floyd that chose to fight Mathysse or Vargas or Rios or Broner? Would you have had the same sentiments you have now?

No boxing fan is unhappy or critical of Manny for fighting Spence or Crawford. We acknowledge those to be great matchups.
The sentiments people have didn’t start this year. It goes back to 2009 to 2018 …
More than a decade of fighting guys coming off losses and catchweights. Those are facts.
You casuals use Spence and Crawford as your new argument thinking we forget over ten years of mismatches. It’s laughable
Guys like you that live in the Philippines will vote Manny for president even though he is not qualified at all but we get it. Nationalism comes into play
