    This

    Ali and pernell didn't run.

    They moved to create openings.

    They moved to create space.

    They disengaged to re-engage.

    Rigo just runs.

    Rigo just tries to disengage.

What a dumbass take you guys have, you're awarding Casimero for not being offensively good enough and punishing Rigo for not fighting the way Casimero was more comfortable with

This is Donaire all over again, dudes on here were posting the same stuff you're posting after that fight

        Good defense is ....

You try to hit the other fighter equally as he tries to hit you. as he tries to hit you , you avoid getting hit and hit back.

If you try to wait for the opponent 100% of the time and try to counter then that is running.

more posters above have already posted the same thing i think. This is not written in the official rules but objective boxing dudes should understand this perfectly.

Just imagine 2 runners fighting each other, they wont engage at all for 12 rounds.

I hope this makes sense to you.

Exactly. Boxing is a sport and has rules.

And if we go by those rules then he won this fight.

You said he barely landed anything, which is true, but so did Casimero. I clearly stated that as far the effective aggression goes, neither of them ws the better man. Luckily, we still have 3 more criterias. Can you honestly say Casimero was better in them than Rigo?

If my case is weak then what is yours? You can't have it both ways.

            So if Rigo1 fight Rigo2.

Who should we blame for not cutting off the ring?

Rigo’s back at times was facing his opponent. Other times he would lower his head offering the backside. Leaving no other target. I get ring generalship, but this was straight up running. Yes, Casimero needs to learn to cut off the ring and yes he is sloppy. It was Rigos to win but he lost because he did not fight. It’s not complicated. The fans loss, boxing loss, and Rigo definitely loss. should retire because no one wants to watch anymore of that. It’s late and I need to get sleep so I might rewatch the fight.

As a challenger, Rigo needs to take the fight and win the rds. Casimero tried to make the fight, his willingness to engage. Rigo just run to survive he got some connected shots but it didn’t hurt Casimero. Prizefighting is the Word! You’re Paid to entertained and fight at the same time. If this the Roman Times, Rigo will be Fed to the Lions! The King will be really Pissed!

you think you are genius but you actually sound like a nerd who has never been in a fight. You dont win fights by running and not throwing punches.

But he did hit him as the punch stats clearly show, he only landed 3 less punches than Casimero. He also landed the more telling punches, mainly his straight left hand.

Off the top of your head, can you tell me one punch Casimero landed that stuck in your mind?

Rigondeaux's fighting style is boring, it's nothing new, we all knew that before the fight and so did Casimero and his team. But his style is within the rules and is very effective as it allows him to win all of the scoring criterias with minimal effort.

Its ridiculous that everybody bashes Rigo, but nobody mentions how Casimero couldn't cut the ring off which is what you do when your opponent uses lateral movement.

He looked like a damn fool missing his punches at times.

People are mad at Rigo for implementing his game plan, but nobody says a word about Casimero not being able to readjust his when he saw it wasn't working.

You dont understand the difference between a sport and a street fight. You are the nerd here.

Go back to watching NBA and let the real men talk about something you don't understand.
