These boxing "purists" think Rigo was putting a masterclass. If this guy fights like that in the early days of boxing, the fight would have been declared a no contest. No one wants to watch a "fight" like that. Amateurs are warned and penalized for not throwing punching. Rigo was running and was even turning his back on Casi. Pure chickenness

Boxing devolved with Ployd hugging and prima donnas afraid of getting stopped.

Super arrogant for a thread title. "....explain why?"

As if preferring to see a running man not to see him again in any fight as a fan in a dying sport is a crime.

So you want to see the running man get the victory lap. And for what?

What a huge joke. No wonder this sport is not gaining fans.

It was a really hard fight to watch in all honesty.

Casimero was the aggressor thru out the fight. While the majority of his shots were just grazing. Maybe the knockdown or "slip" put some caution in Rigo, but him pot-shotting here and there, is not enough imo.

              havent watched it

but if one guy is really trying and throwing a lot and the other guy barely throws anything at all, then high output can win.

calzaghe-hopkins comes to mind. hopkins landed the cleaner harder shots but he didnt land enough of them to win. calzaghe outworked him with soft slaps that werent always connecting clean but the overall volume just outworked hopkins. if hopkins let his hands go more he could have won that fight. we thought his stamina was bad at the time but then from the pavlik fight we saw he actually did have the stamina to throw a lot if he wanted to, he just was a pus sometimes and stunk the place out then cried robbery at the end.

Rigondeaux is a master at giving rounds away.
