Faked low blows (while actually throwing his own) against Calzaghe, faked getting hit to the back of the head against RJJ

Bruh. Ya'll need to put some respect on Hopkins' name. Him, Floyd, and Manny are the only true ATGs so far of this century.

Fans/media are so used to fighters claiming a pre-fight injury after a fight, not before. So Spence, instead of waiting until after the fight and after a possible loss, decided to pull out now. So now he has to deal with conspiracies. If he took the fight and further damaged his retina, he would have been called a sore loser. I mean that’s how I would have seen him if he did that.

Pulling out before a fight due to an injury is a lot more respectable than going through with the fight, getting your ass kicked, and then tell fans and media that you were injured. I do not care if it’s a real injury and it really affected you during the fight. It’s the principal of the subject.

I was leaning towards Pacquiao winning this fight, and now with that news, in hindsight I think Pacquiao would have destroyed Spence due to the injury. It would have gotten worse once Pacquiao started touching that area.

Now Spence is fcked. Pac still wants the fight and now him and Roach know about the injury. Doctors can sell full detached retina recovery all they want, evidence shows damaged retinas are career enders. Even if a fighter decides to fight on afterward, it will show in their performances and their continuous eye issues that they are done.

Mares was done after his, hasn’t fought ever since. SRL had to retire to let it heal, then came out of retirement after 3 years, past his prime. Margarito had a damaged retina and orbital bone, he was done at the top. Margarito went to one of the most highly respected eye centers in the US, University of Utah’s John A. Moran Eye Center, same one I go to. I remember being told I couldn’t box anymore when I was 19. It was not an issue related to boxing, but no responsible ophthalmologist will tell you “yeah go ahead you can still fight.” after an eye injury or delicate eye surgery. UNLESS, that doctor has been compromised and paid off to give a fighter the green light so that fighter and his promoter can make several million dollars more. The risk is worth taking when there is millions of dollars involved.
