Comments Thread For: Wilder's Manager Admits Shock That Team Fury Did Not Offer Step-Aside Deal

Shelly Finkel, the co-manager of heavyweight contender Deontay Wilder, was shocked that Tyson Fury's handlers did not present them with a step-aside offer to allow the 'Gypsy King' to face Anthony Joshua in a full division unification.

They never wanted to make the fight with AJ. That's just another fact supporting this. Fury didn't even try to sell the fight when everyone thought the announcement was imminent, which was highly unusual given his big mouth that usually won't shut up. Now he has covid, then his toe will tickle. No wonder Wlad despises him and his low life shenanigans.

Good for Fury! I’m sure Wilder and his team were hoping for some massive step aside deal that gave them a few Mill and a guarantee to fight the winner for even more
money ….yeah don’t work like that, YOU EARN IT!

I'm sure Hearn is going to love to hear that.

Didn't want to pay Wilder and and now doesn't want to fight him either. And yet a lot of you support this clown. Imagine Ali faking Covid to get out of a fight with Frazier? Imagine Joe Louis with 0 title defenses and no fights in 2 years, sitting on a belt. Imagine Tyson going through the 80's and fighting NONE of the top heavyweights. Imagine Lennox Lewis getting popped for PEDs and instead claiming depression and faking mental illness. You can't can you because real champions don't do any of that.

I don't even understand the shock. It's nonsense. Fury would rather fight Wilder ten times than face Joshua.

As much as I'd love it to be true...

Finkel is very clearly talking about during the arbitration process. The obvious answer is that Fury's team were adamant they would win. You don't offer settlement on something you're that confident about.

Regardless, we know for sure that Joshua has tried to get both of them in the ring. And we know that both had no intention of facing him.

And we know Wilder was entitled to a rematch and that Fury did everything possible to get out of it. Fury says he didn't offer anything after the case was lost so we know where he stands.

For all the bits that we don't know, we surely by now see significant fault in the character and behaviour of Wilder and Fury?

                    No? Ok, carry on then.
