Fury just thought he needed a tuneup against AJ and rather than pay someone else who might end up causing an upset - Wilder was the easy choice. Fury knows he’ll beat Wilder in his sleep.

Yes, he didn’t want the AJ fight and thought he’s not ready for AJ yet. His fan girls and casuals can say what they want but Fury hasn’t been the same since he returned and AJ would wreck him. There’s a reason why he’s avoiding everyone.Step aside money gets you more money . Fury once again proving he didn’t want the fight as bad as AJ . Fighters looking into what others get is really lame who cares what Wilder gets you get more and fans get undisputed. Fury is really getting exposed here in the article.
Wilder is his best bet to buy time. A one-dimensional bum with no skill and padded stats that he has completely destroyed. That’s also why they allowed the arbitration to go the way it did. Wilder had no case - the arbitration was Arum.Comment

AJ groupies trying to spin this into a narrative of Fury fearing Joshua are a special kind of dumb. Fury of all people is supposedly scared of a basic 1-2 plodding puncher who quit under adversity against the fat 30-1 underdog that took the fight on short notice? Ok.Comment

The fact that this obese and utterly dumb yank thinks AJ is a 1-2 plodding boxer tells me all I need to know about these ****** casuals.
Anyone who has ever laced it up would know AJ is a 1-2-3 in/out boxer (not 1-2) and he has the best foot speed in the division apart Usyk & Parker.
If Fury were that confident, he would’ve taken £100m guaranteed over £5million to fight Wilder. He and his handlers were talking about tuneup during the negotiations and Wilder is the tuneup they picked. Where’s the lie? Dumb backwood yanks, man.

And you seriously believe that Fury caught Covid and then magically beat it within 3 days? Parker supposedly gets it too but then after he is caught at the McGregor fight, then he says he doesn't have it? You really think Arum, Fury and the team is above lying to get out of a financial disastrous fight? Toy really thought Fury would fight when he had a spare tire around his waist, 2 weeks before the fight?
Come on, seriously believe a multi million dollar event is being postponed because Fury is faking that he had Covid ? You can’t seriously be that naive.
Fury: Hey guys I have Covid, can’t fight til October, you understand right?
Team Wilder: Sure we get it, get well soon, come October it’s lights out for you!!
Seriously. Take a minute and just think about how silly that is. The reality is this: Fury and multiple people in his team caught Covid (AND)/ OR this fight was about to be a serious financial disaster for Top Rank/ESPN/PBC/FOX and a postponement was the best financial plan of action for all parties involved.
if you seriously believe Fury just said “I have Covid and I can’t fight til October” and team Wilder just said “okay, no questions asked” I have a bridge to sell youComment

I don't think it's fear.AJ groupies trying to spin this into a narrative of Fury fearing Joshua are a special kind of dumb. Fury of all people is supposedly scared of a basic 1-2 plodding puncher who quit under adversity against the fat 30-1 underdog that took the fight on short notice? Ok.
But I'm confident Fury doesn't want to fight Joshua. Or Wilder for that matter.Comment

I think Tyson Fury would like nothing more than to fight AJ, beat him and retire and then avoid the rematch. So far he has avoided any title defenses in his whole career! This is just about gypsies/travellers not liking to give people free money. I think also Fury thinks he figured WIlder out - that Wilder can't fight going backwards. So he's over confident about the result.
For people saying that no way would Fury avoid AJ tho - he did turn down a fight with AJ, early in 2019. And Fury also did have a ban for taking PEDs. And he called David PRice a robot (David Price beat Fury in the amateurs and stopped him going to the olympics) and then avoided Price in the Pros. Fury isn't as confident as the fan boys think. Why does he need PEDs if he is??Comment

I don’t know if Fury himself actually caught COVID or not. I believe there was probably an outbreak in his camp & he was exposed to it.

What I’m saying is, it’s extremely ridiculous to believe that he could just lie and say he had it & all parties involved just go with it and postpone the fight just so he could get more time to train.
You really think Team Wilder would want to give Fury more time to get in shape?
Fury or Wilder “catching” Covid was the most convenient thing that could have happened for FOX, ESPN, PBC & TR because as mentioned before, this fight was and still is shaping up to be a financial disaster for all of them. After paying Fury, Wilder & everyone else on the cards purses, what’s left to split if tickets weren’t selling well & the PPV doesn’t do well or as good as the last one ?Comment

Maybe Fury thought he’d win the arbitration case (so no monies spent) Joshua fight goes straight way to the bank. Fury fought thru drug addictions so I’m sure he could’ve fought trilogy thru merely team exposure. Maybe Wilder cools down by the fall. Summer was too hot, so is Wilder. Hope Fury doesn’t quack by Oct. 9Comment
