I enjoyed it and it taught me self discipline. I definitely learned about cutting weight and making limits running around in rubber track suits. It could be grueling but at least I wasn't getting punched in the face.
I always tell my good Canadian poster friend Lexy that martial arts prepared me for Curling!
I trained for a couple of years as a teen and had eight amateur fights (5-3.) I always loved the sport, but things got complicated back then and I didn't step back into a boxing gym until my mid-20s. No more fights then, just training and sparring as much as I could helping others get ready for fights. Nowadays I still go into a boxing gym three times a week, but it's to drop off and pick up my son from his training.
I started boxing at around 8 years old. Had several amateur bouts as a kid, only locally, I never did anything nationally or anything like that. I’ve had 5 senior contests too, but then at 18-19, I was in university, working and enjoying adulthood, so naturally boxing got put on the back burner. Still spar with friends occasionally, but not often. I have a heavy bag in my gym and still do some bag work during workouts too.
Shoutout to Golden Gloves UK, Salisbury ABC and Venture ABC.
Not boxing but kickboxing. 6 years, starting as a teen. After moving and going to school other commitments took over. Tried back again a few years ago but a little too high impact on the knees. I do practice/workout, but no more sparring.
Yes. But I see see myself more of an assistant coach.
I help out a pretty good trainer who's worked with Champions.
I work with the Amateurs and help him out with the Pros.
You can even call me his Apprentice.
I've seen the laughable content of your posts clown, you're a fraud through and through. Just because you have a poster of AJ on your ceiling and you shadowbox in your parent's garage doesn't make you an authority.
Isn’t it ironic that a WWE wrestler is calling someone a fraud? What’s more fraudulent than WWE?
Get more creative - the AJ poster line is stale.
We know you’re a Wilder fan girl who pretends he’s an objective neutral and nothing is more fraudulent than a pretentious muppet. You only find my posts laughable because I call your hero, Wilder, by his name: A BUM.
I have forgotten more about boxing than you’ll ever know, kid. Stick to twerking with Wilder every night.

I was an amateur for 1 year. Honestly i was terrible. my record was 5 w 4 losses . Football then took over and of course it was easier. LOL!
Nice bro. 9 fights is fine. You can actually say you're a "fighter". 99 plus percent of the world can't say that. Especially the wanna-be's on this forum.
