Trained for several months when I was 18
then for a couple months years later
Sparred maybe a grand total of 50 rounds
all in all boxing training changed my life for the better.
boxing made me the develop the self-discipline for fitness

Yep.
Boxed amateur and even won a few medals and trophies at local comps .
Think my record was 27 -6 (two of those losses were absolute BS)
My problem was my asthma though.
I also discovered drugs and women and that was the end of that

I did some local amateur shit in my early 20s in the early 90s, I fought no one of note in a sanctioned bout. I fought alot in the park around here though, mfers would show up at the basketball court and throw down. Its crazy looking back on it how I never lost any teeth or got knocked out.

I always loved the work out. Id get in the ring with amateurs. Enjoyed it. I got to box a few times a guy who won golden gloves. I could hang with him but I had no desire to make a living at it. Sometimes I wish I would of tried. I loved being there.
I notice NONE of the know it alls are talking on this post. Not surprising.
