I believe that was Aaron Snowell whose chain from the credential badge strafed Tyson's damaged eye.

On a side note, when I was growing up in the Atlantic City area, I used to landscape for a plastic surgeon that moonlighted as Iron Mike's cutman. Didn't particularly like the guy but it was always interesting to see him in the corner while watching the fights on television.

Douglas was interesting, he was very talented but had alot inconsistency in his career. He had some quality wins (Tex Cobb, Greg Page, Trevor Berbick) and had beaten the "Atomic Bull" Oliver McCall before he faced off against Tyson.

The timing of when he fought Iron Mike was like a perfect storm. Douglas was fueled by the motivation of fighting for a recently deceased relative (mom I think) and Tyson's personal life had spiralled to a point where he was going to implode sooner or later.

Alot of the stigma surrounding Douglas was how he handled his moment of glory. He came in out of shape and put on a half hearted effort against Holyfield. I remember he threw an uppercut from ridiculously long range and was countered perfectly. After that embarrassing performance, he left the sport for years and his weight ballooned up. He went from inconsistent talent to champ to punchline. Boxing is an unforgiving sport.

I believe you are correct. I don't like sharp objects around my face. Especially cutmen wearing a bunch of bling.

Haha. Man I did not like the "Quiet Man" as fighter. Part of it was his "jab, jab, lunge and grab" style and his obnoxious trainer Norman Stone. I rooted for him too get KO'd every fight. He does alot for the the community and might be a decent guy but I was no fan of his career.

Hard to believe, but Stiverne was once a feared man. There was a poll on this forum posted on the weekend of Stiverne vs. Wilder 1, and more than 60% of the votes thought Stiverne would win by KO.

People will always debate who the worst (and best) were, but you can safely say Stiverne was certainly towards the bottom of the list of the best Heavyweight world champions.

                      Feared by who?

That was a poll of fans.

I don't recall any fighter ever being accused of ducking Bermane Stiverne.
