And Crawford will get paid twice, once from the purse bid winner (if it's not Top Rank) and second from Top Rank who has to honor the remaining financial of his contract once it expires in October.
Truthfully, if Crawford is really leaving Top Rank after this fight, then losing the purse bid to Matchroom or PBC would be the best possible outcome for Bob. He wuld probably get somewhere between 15% and 25% of Crawfords purse as the losing bidder, and would have ZERO liability for anything relating to this promotion.

LOL
Every world champion starts out the same way until they win a belt (or unify) and then they start building their legacy by fighting legit opponents and contenders.
Has Crawford done that since he beat Jeff Horn for the WBO belt?
So, Khan, Brooks, Benavidez and Kavaliuskas are comparable to Ken Norton, Frazier and Ali?
Is that what you’re saying?

Or Shawn Porter can take him out and show Crawford wasn't as good as advertised. For me the stakes are high and would love to see this fight PPV or not. I have respect for both men. This fight answers a lot of questions.
And that’s precisely what we’ve all been waiting for the last three years. For Crawford to step up and show how good he truly is.
Here’s the thing, Porter beats him, and it’s over for Crawford.
