Bud hasn’t been overly successful in previous ppvs. And this is true about spence and Porter but I would say that has to do more with Spence than Porter. On their own, neither man is really a PPV fighter. Porter and Thurman has the duel of the year on free PBC unless I miss my guess. But hey, if it is, more power to them.
wouldn’t mind seeing it on regular FOX though, it figures to be a good sc**** and would love for the American sports fan to see that on free tv

The Charlo doubleheader was the last PPV I purchased and I have to say that it was one of the few where I didn't feel underwhelmed what I got for my money. Part of that may have been there weren't alot of marquis fights at that point in the pandemic but I still enjoyed it.

What weight class was Shawn Porter P4P at?

        TIA.

They were definitely chasing the Mexican American dollar with that Ruiz v arreola PPV. How did that one do by the way?

“Last year, there was no mandatory involved,” Arum told BoxingScene.com on Thursday. “This year, it’s a fight that’s been demanded by the [WBO], and let’s see how we can get it done. It’s a lot different vibe when an organization mandates a fight that is a real fight."

There was no money in a Porter fight before, but now there is because it was mandated?

Arum is so full of sh¡t.

PPV market has changed, where you don't need as many buys as you did in the past. But Bud is being guaranteed 4M to fight the likes of Mean Machine and washed Brook, he's obviously going to want more than that to fight Porter. And Porter wants a good amount of pay day as well, similar to what he got vs Spence.

Gamboa had was a tiny man past his p4p glory and even buzzed Crawford, Crawford is fighting guys his own size now. If you're telling me that Gamboa presented more danger to Crawford than Porter will present? Then you must be smoking or drinking something special. By the way Gamboa was at that level for a really short period, so I wouldn't be exactly bragging about it.

Gamboa wasn’t past his glory days when he fought Crawford. He hadn’t even lost yet.

Crawford wasn’t fighting guys his own size until now? Didn’t he have to make weight for those fights in those other weight divisions?

Yeah, that’s right he did. Lol.

Gamboa in 2014 is a way better fighter than Shawn Porter in 2021. It’s not even up for debate.

A vast majority of boxing fans and panel experts agree on ONE thing; Porter would the most formidable and highest ranked WW contender Crawford will ever face.
To quote author of this article, “Porter, 33, would be considered Crawford’s most formidable foe since the former undisputed junior welterweight champion moved up to welterweight three years ago”.

That staggering fact alone, is incredibly shocking. And when you take out Kell Brooks and Khan, you are left with Kavaliauskas and Benavidez. That’s a trash resume that people here seem to defend.

When you take out half of Terence Crawford’s resume, it’s trash.

The same goes for George Foreman.

                      LOL
