That’s a misconception. Crawford starts “slow”, but only for the fights he starts as orthodox. He didn’t have any problems dominating from the get go vs Indongo, Diaz, Horn, Molina, etc. When he started as southpaw. And he dominates almost immediately once he turns southpaw in the middle of other fights.

The only fights I’ve seen Crawford start and keep orthodox was against bums like Dulorme, and Khan who didn’t challenge him. When it gets serious Crawford will always turn southpaw, and it’s a completely different beast.

That's fair but you could also say he dominated because it's only Indongo, Diaz, Horn, and Molina though.

Read the part after I list those names. In every fight thus far, when he turns southpaw it’s basically that’s all she wrote/a wrap. Postol was another where he started southpaw. The point is there is no “start slow” phase where he’s getting outboxed and caught easily when he starts southpaw.

Will still have to go with Floyd. When Crawford's best guy on his resume was against Gamboa, can't see how I can not pick Floyd.

I don’t see Bud having any stylistic edge.

Floyd’s toughest opponents were educated pressure skilled Latin fighters

Bud has a unique style yes. But so did manny and Floyd still 10-2’d or 9-3’d his azz

and manny is a level or three above Bud

At the bare bones, Crawford is just an athletic boxer with hand speed and A+ power that he over relies on. That's what I mean.

Other than that, I see a technical deficient boxer who throws punches from weird angles like Wilder, David Haye, etc.

Because of it, I don't see him giving Floyd much issues. If you telegraph punches with Floyd, he's going to pick you apart. It's why Canelo got box the way he did.

Floyd's toughest opponents were the guys he ducked like Paul Williams, Winky Wright, Khan, Thurman. Guys who can box ar range with him.
Fighters like Bud Crawford Floyd ducked his whole career. Zab Judah was having some success but he had stamina and focus issues.

Floyd had height and reach on Manny but he was too scared of the speed power and angles that Manny uses. That's why he ducked him until after Marquez ko'd him and he lost about three steps, and he was still scared to go to to toe with him.
