Floyd wins. Not sure how anyone could pick Crawford over him. Like has been said... we have seen Floyd against greats of his era. Crawford has only fought scrubs and "B" level competition. As someone who was excited to see Crawford move up to 147 to fight top level warriors it hurts to type that, but it is completely true.
Forget points. I think Floyd gets the TKO.Comment

Was f***ing amazing mate, my first ever time in Vegas as well. I’ve never seen that many foreign fans travel over for a fight, I reckon there was about 20-30,000 of us Brits over there. Mayweather was the perfect antagonist as well, it’s my favourite ever boxing memory that fight week.
Great post! Big Welters with a good to great jab is the baseline to beat Floyd. No jab, no chance. That first Castillo fight definitely wasn't his best night but as you mentioned, his movement definitely would have been something for Duran to deal with.
I could imagine being at the Hatton fight, it was electric through the TV lol. I was at the Mosley fight and when he got caught in the 2nd round, the entire place stood up lmao.Comment

I just think his feet would be far to fast for Armstrong. Armstrong had the greatest career of anyone not named Robinson in my opinion, but if we’re talking head to head, I’d pick Floyd all day under modern regulations.
It’s very hard to compare guys who fought near a century apart though. There are many intangibles such as would it be 15 rounds, what gloves would they use, what rules etc etc.
Duran definitely could on his day, I see that fight being a close decision either way. It’s either plays out like Duran-SRL 1 and Duran edges it or Duran-Benitez and Floyd edges it. If they’re both absolutely on it I’d probably lean towards Floyd.
Whitaker would be very interesting, there’s no real way to prepare for a guy like that. I think he’d force Floyd to chase him too and fight on the front foot. Absolute 50/50 for me that one. Would be interesting to see if a guy as cerebral in the ring as Floyd could figure out such a unique puzzle like Sweet Pea. Real tough one to call.Comment

Zab Judah. Emmanuel Augustus. Demarcus Corley.
Typical black boxers. Who are athletic, a lot of hand speed and rely heavy on power.
I'm simplifying Crawford here. He likely has more power than all three but he's not as technical as "first-3 rounds" Judah nor Corley. While he's not as eccentric as Augustus, he does throw shots from weird, loopy angles, relying on his power to do the job.
Crawford isn't the boxer people make him out to be. He can throw from either stance but he's not doing with outstanding technique, he's just throwing wild shots.
And if anything, we know, you won't get Mayweather with that too often. He got caught by Mosley with something like that once. Also, Judah (but Judah's technique was pin point).
In short. Crawford doesn't bring anything to threaten Mayweather other than his absurd power.
But Mayweather has shown and can box around that. Especially at 140.
Mayweather beats Crawford by decision. Unless Crawford is less than I think he is (I really don't think he's all that great), then he'll get stopped like Augustus did.Comment
