Floyd was crazy good at that point in his career. He got all the attention post DeLaHoya but imo that was the true prime of his career.

Mayweather's prime was 140, he didn't lay on the ropes and potshot @ 140 like he did @ 47.

He's too fast of foot for Crawford to beat.

Mayweather UD'S anybody 140 and under.

I’m not sure. Never really seen Floyd face a guy like Crawford.

Crawford has the longer reach too I believe.

It’s always hard to pick against Mayweather because he always found a way to win but this is a tough fight for him IMO.

Nah 140 was probably the most underwhelming part of his career tbh.

It’s the one division he never won THE title.

Not accomplishments, but the controversial eye test. That was a culmination of all the things that made Floyd, Floyd. Speed, power, combination punching, elite defense, and IQ as usual. He just passed through because the money was at 147 but I don't think he ever looked better than his brief time at 140.

I thought he looked better at 130 personally, and it was against better fighters.

He did look sensational against Gatti in his debut PPV but I think most of us wiser fans were all expecting him too, then on the other hand, most of us expected him to have problems with Corrales and he absolutely dominated. Definitely looked more impressive at 130 for me.

Reach wouldn’t be much of an advantage when Floyd clearly had superior hand speed, timing, and punching accuracy. Crawford is good enough to make it competitive, but Floyd would’ve systematically pick him apart.

Crawford has excellent timing and accuracy too though and the clear edge in power. I’m not saying he necessarily wins but I don’t think you can write him off either. Largely because we never saw Floyd fight anyone like Crawford.
