So if Floyd simply destroys JMM, does he have the upper hand on Pacquiao?

Not at all, he's fighting a Juan Manuel Marquez 14 pounds over his best weight. He should destroy him.

Pac beat Hatton at his best weight. Floyd beat Oscar at his best weight at the point in his career. Pac beat Marquez at his better weight. Pac 2, Mayweather 1 IMO.

He was most dominant at 130 or 135, but that's irrelevant, he has not fought below 140 for like 5 years, Marquez was at 135 his last two fights and 130 a year and a half ago.

I agree. And when Floyd then destroys Pac in the ring, they will say that Pac was too small.

If he wins, it makes no difference,as far as possible negotiations go, HOW he wins, just that he does win, and that people pay to see it.

The 'upper hand' you speak of rests soley on the performance of the fight on PPV, and at the gate.

Well if it's anything less than WW, right now, he should fight Marquez there.

If Floyd can't make 140 anymore, he should fight a real WW and forget about this pu$$y catchweight garbage. If he can make 140, or less, then fight Marquez there and perhaps get some credit for it.

That excuse can't be used if Floyd beats Pac because Manny Pacquiao is a proven fighter at 140 and is about to fight his second fight at welterweight.
