like i said earlier...some of you have a broke person menality.....youd just jump at the highest figure as soon as possible even if had consequences

plant, if hes smart, already likely has a nice home that is paid for...and enough money to live off for awhile.....but the reality is whats best for him is to earn as much as possible while he can....and hes about 30 years old....

if he goes out and gets beat 8-4, or wider, or gets knocked out by canelo his career and intrigue is essentially over...i dont literally mean he wont ever get another fight...or he couldnt ever be a meaningful fight again...i dont mean hell retire.....but the caleb plant that exists today will no longer exist.........instead if he cant prolong this for another 2-3 fights and earn some good money for those fights....and continue to talk canelo and build towards it...he can increase his stance...and the fight will be worth more then.....

its a calculated risk yes....but hes willing to take it....haymon is pretty good at what he does.....i think plant would rather take that loss later than sooner ....if he were 23-25 he might feel differently.....but hes not exactly "young" in a sport/athlete sense....

Plus he gets to call himself a 'World' champion.

If i had my way he'd get booed out of the building anytime he fights. It's a blatant, cynical duck if he doesn't fight Canelo and the whole boxing world should object to it. Plant should be ridiculed for not doing the fight.
and then he likely still can get that canelo fight on top of that!

again...you have to spare me with the "haymon wants to hang on to the belt for himself"...haymon doesnt act on his own interests without making it up to the fighter........like ive said when wilder turned down that DAZN deal haymon had to go out and get wilder 20 mil(or around there) per fight....thats the only way he could convince wilder to walk away.....or else its terrible business for haymon and everyone notices and nobody wants to work with him anymore "man did you see haymon had wilder walk away from the DAZN deal and then was only getting him 3 mil a fight...man i need a new advisor i gotta get away from him"=is what youd be hearing.....but you dont hear or see people leaving or wanting to

when DAZN/hearn came with a great deal for danny jacobs haymon DID NOT stand in his way...haymon is still dannys advisor........haymon doesnt turn down deals for his own personal gain at the expense of the fighter....if haymon told plant "were turning down this canelo fight" best believe he said "I will get it for you later if you keep that belt...believe that"....and he will deliver if thats what he promised

you dont have guys turn down lifetime opportunities just because you say so or want them to....it doesnt quite work like that....stuff like that will have haymons fighters leaving in mass exodus......but they never leave! at all! because he delivers

some of you cant think logically...the thought of floyd/haymon just irritates the living sht out of you and you cant see things clearly.....

That's good for Plant but why are you cool with that?

You don't want the top fighters to face each other?

But they said they did, right now. I think it is becoming very clear very quickly that they don't, but they said they did. They were talking up a fight Next, not next year, the next fight. You keep skirting around that fact.

Red - Again. That's cool for the fighter and promoters. Are you cool with that kind of mediocre path?

bob arum kept saying they were eyeing shawn porter "next" leading up to the bud/mean machine fight....then 2 weeks after it bud was asked about porter on cam and said "hes not on our radar"......theyre going to talk about canelo to build up interest and keep people interested in plant in the mean time.........thats part of the boxing business....guys do it all the time......pac was a very good fighter and delivered some great fights/incredible moments...i went to two of them against hatton and cotto.....but part of what made pac so big was that his name was always tethered to floyds and he was the guy that was going to take him out.....it took his interest to another level......people are amped about bud/spence and have been for awhile now........its just plant playing the game most of these guys play....talk about it....but prolong it till youre ready and have maximized your earning potential before you risk it all

You seem to get more joy out of these marinating and name dropping games that PBC plays than you do out of seeing good fights.

Are you a boxing fan or a fan of Al Haymon's wallet?
