If the kid can make $ milions fighting second tier guys on PPV then good for him I guess. Won't fault any fighter for making the most money they can whatever way they can. Dudes gonna tune in to watch him win or hoping he'll lose or whatever. I enjoy watching him - kid's super talented and explosive - but I ain't gonna annoint him top of anything until he's at least beaten a top 5 guy in one of the divisions he's fought in.Comment

And THAT’S what I am talking about…..why do fans in the USA NEED to know where Scotland is? Why does that even matter? And this is coming from a man who had an actual Scottish grandparent who’s English ancestry comes from in and around Carlisle and border reivers of long ago. I’ll say it again, it’s an inferiority complex.Comment

As a boxing fan I want to see the best against the best.
I wanna see Canelo vs Charlo, Canelo vs Andrade, Canelo vs Plant, Canelo vs Benavidez, Canelo vs Betebiev, Canelo vs Bivol, I did not like that trash Canelo-Yldirim fight.
This promoters war is only damaging the sport and preventing the best fight the best which suck huge time, anyone trying to defend this bull**** deserves to be called a manfan. Sad to see these guys only care about the money from the casuals.Comment

That's why to make that fight happen, it's seen as needing to happen in the UK.
But that fight cannot happen in the UK.
Because we know, for obvious reason, why it cannot happen there.
It is like fighting an Australian in Australia or a Puerto Rican in NY or Puerto Rico. It just doesn't make sense to do so.Comment

Thats at the heart of why a few of these cats in this post are so triggered. There is a real bitterness about tank and his success so far. They hate that he sells out arenas in various American cities and they hate that he sells PPVs. They also hate that tank refused to be lured to dayzin by young Edward who was trying to use farmer as bait to get tank. Notice how quickly Edward abandoned farmer after he lost. The bitterness in this thread you’re seeing pointed at fans who enjoy seeing tank fight is specifically a British problem and one that I have spoken about before. There is a tendency towards people in Britain having a complex about America and being known to Americans. If it is perceived that we are not being given respect by the USA or if they don’t know about specific British countries within the kingdom or are not respecting British fighters as well respect as they are in the U.K. it can give the highly “motivated” U.K. sports fan a bit of an inferiority complex. The idea that the 15k fans in Atlanta that watched the fight love don’t go around thinking about Scotland or England or Wales or Cornwall or Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man etc can be perceived as disrespectful to them. You don’t really notice this until you leave the U.K. and spend a significant time in the USA and understand how big the USA is and how many countries across the globe are influenced by American culture…they all want the USA to “notice” them…Comment

Anyone that's watched US late nite tv knows this applies to most of the country and not any one sub group. Classic examples, 1/3 of 8th grade student said that Canada was a dictatorship or the late nite street interviews about Canada...the best was the person trying to argue that Korea was on the east coast close to ******ia or something..
I'm sure many other countries would do just as bad since there is an alarming number of people saying vaccines have microchips to track them.. Isotopes from old salelites that crashed long ago gave that option, well at least on paper decades ago?! Oh and that cell phone LOL...

Ellerbe is pretty annoying but he has a point. Taylor is an undisputed, unified champ, but not even that many brits have heard of him let alone the yanks. The guy is missing out on millions, imagine if Hearn or Haymon had him in their stable.Comment
