Ramirez/Taylor was viewed by probably 7 times more people and that unification fight got more coverage than the meaningless stay busy fight vs an unknown bum.

As where Americans fighters of quality are given their due praise and respect by brits generally speaking.
I didn’t say there were no rivalries on the USA…..thats not what I said.

He may not need his belts but to the hard-core boxing fan and you just said you are one, he badly needs his name. Cos as of right now his resume is sadly lacking .

At 33, I think GRJ accepts a PPV fight, even @ 135! Tank vs. GRJ in the DMV would be a very big deal!

That's where it has to be. I don't think Gervonta will go back down to 130, unless it comes with a bag full of money. Russell doesn't provide that.

And THAT’S what I am talking about…..why do fans in the USA NEED to know where Scotland is? Why does that even matter? And this is coming from a man who had an actual Scottish grandparent who’s English ancestry comes from in and around Carlisle and border reivers of long ago. I’ll say it again, it’s an inferiority complex.

" this sense of rivalry while very important to the British sports fan is non-existent with the American sports fans ". Clearly not though

So you’re telling me the average sports fan in the USA walks around thinking about sticking it to the U.K……you’re doing too much.

I'm sure he does , particularly as he only gets one pay check a year and that would be top dollar for him. I believe there is some rivalry there
