Ramirez/Taylor was viewed by probably 7 times more people and that unification fight got more coverage than the meaningless stay busy fight vs an unknown bum.

I didn’t say there were no rivalries on the USA…..thats not what I said.
To say there is no rivalry in US is nonsense. In boxing there are fan rivalries between African Americans and Latinos and there are sub divisions in Latino rivalries. Brits do take rivalry serious but that's because their fighters are constantly written off and any time they do have the genuine article they are then dismissed as average. As where Americans fighters of quality are given their due praise and respect by brits generally speaking.

He may not need his belts but to the hard-core boxing fan and you just said you are one, he badly needs his name. Cos as of right now his resume is sadly lacking .
Who even needs to know where Scotland is? All Ellerbe is saying is, to the business side of things (casual Davis fans), Taylor is nonentity. Davis can fight a plumber next and that crowd will be there. Even to me (a hardcore), Taylor is nothing, a C+ at best. I don't see anything. Davis doesn't need his belts.Comment

And THAT’S what I am talking about…..why do fans in the USA NEED to know where Scotland is? Why does that even matter? And this is coming from a man who had an actual Scottish grandparent who’s English ancestry comes from in and around Carlisle and border reivers of long ago. I’ll say it again, it’s an inferiority complex.
