Claim 1. The gloves had a "smushed in form" because Fury removed some of the padding from them. I presume Deontay was referring to the slightly concave appearance of the knuckle area of Fury's Paffen Sports gloves. Look at the photos below. You will see that the concave knuckle area is normal for that type of Paffen glove
.
Claim 2. Fury's gloves were flopping because he had his fists in the sleeve of the gloves. They were so loose that Fury scratched flesh from Deontay's ear with his fingernails, causing the ear to bleed.
Claim 3. Fury loaded his gloves with eggweights, which crushed a dent into the side of Deontay's skull.
Think about these points - if Fury had his fists in the sleeves of the gloves, and weights in the area where hand should have been, wouldn't the gloves have been flopping around constantly during the fight, not just for a couple of seconds when he was flicking a jab? And wouldn't they also have flopped down when he raised his arms above his head, celebrating the KDs he scored and the towel coming in at the end?
Take a look at the photos below. I'm saying they prove conclusively that Wilder's allegations about Fury's gloves in the rematch are a pile of horse****.
Fury beat Wilder fair and square. Give the man the credit he deserves and look forward to the trilogy.
