Holmes made the IBF credible and the WBO had been around since 88 and no one paid attention to it until DLH beat Sturrm and they used it to promote his fight with Hopkins in 2004. It's a **** show.. I know they all got interim champs, but the WBA got a gold, interim, regular, and super champ.
Do you know when it was that HBO started recognizing the WBO? I only ask as I semi recently watched one of Oscar's early HBO fights (I know at least one was before this against a Renaldo Carter) and his first "title" fight, which was for Jimmi Bredahl's WBO Super Featherweight title in 1994 and I remember Lampley giving an explanation of why HBO wasn't advertising the fight as a legit title fight in any of their promotional material for that fight and also giving an opinion that mirrors the majority opinion of the WBA's super/regular champion BS mess today.

People are only down playing Barrios to have a built in excuse to not acknowledge Davis.

Barrios is a dangerous fight. Low reward, high risk.

Barrios has nice counters and good straight punches which will keep Davis tentative.

I think Loma will have fewer problems with Nakatani but I have a feeling that he may have lost a step coming from a loss and also getting on in years.

How much does he want it if it ends up a real gruelling fight.

        What are your thoughts?
Yeah because of those factors against Loma I'd give Nakatani a slighly better chance of upset than Barrios. They both have long arms but to make use of that they have to throw from further away, giving Loma/Tank more time/distance to avoid the shot. So after a while of Nakatani/Barrios missing on the outside and getting countered, as the fight goes on I think both will end up giving up the reach advantage and trying to land something closer, getting caught when exchanging. But wtf do I know, good luck with your bet

A robbery is like a guy winning 8 or 9 rounds and the decision going to other guy. Barrios dropped Akhmedov twice and won most of the early rounds. That's 2 10-8 rounds, and 4 or 5 of the mid/early rounds. So, there's no way that fight was robbery. Now, were the scorecards wide, f3ck yeah, but wide scorecards don't equate to a robbery.

But, I do agree, I have Tank winning this won, but he's going to struggle big time, pun intended.
          Barrios has a baby belt.

He isn’t a real world champ

Josh Taylor has every real belt in the division. Who cares what second rate fighters hold a “regular” title.

Tank is one of the few PBC assets that has the goods.

The WBO was never recognized until 2004 to the best of my memory. Herbie Hide was a 2x Wbo Hw champ and no one ever cared. Wasn’t until they robbed Sturm against DLH is when the media and HBO started recognizing it. Even Bowe and Morrison Held the WBO and no one ever cared.

Tank is unbelievably short. He’s going to learn weigh classes matter.

It made me a very sad man!

I put a little bit of monies on a late stoppage for Barrios. Would have paid for another Siberian cat!

I enjoyed the fight nevertheless. Tank looked decent although I think he should move down to 135 if he still can. They don’t call him the Dwarf King for nothing!

I Think it was a good fight. Barrios did perform better than I expected. I think Davis needs to stay at 130 or 135 as well if he can be disciplined enough to make the weight. Barrios is a nobody and he did OK. Imagine how it would end up against a top guy in the 140 division?
